Summer Vibes Cars & Coffee at North Medford High School is a fundraiser organized by the Patriotic Youth Fund. Car owners can showcase everything from classic hot rods to the newest rides, with a suggested donation of $10 per vehicle to help raise money for youth. This is a no-trophy meet focused on the cars and the cause. Gobi's Coffee will be on site to handle coffee and caffeine needs.

Access support through a free clothes closet offering clothing along with blankets, towels, and sheets. A food pantry is also available, providing a range of foods to suit many dietary needs, with fresh produce included.

Now in its third year, this multi Camaro car club gathering sets out from Medford with a cruise to a classic drive-in theater in Newberg for a movie night. The plan includes multiple meetup spots so clubs and drivers from different cities can merge into the convoy along the route. The start is at Rogue Valley Mall, with additional planned stops in Grants Pass, Roseburg, Halsey, and Salem before rolling into Newberg. Depending on where participants are coming from, it could turn into a two day, one night trip. After arriving, the group will pause for dinner, then head to the drive-in for the feature. Timing for meetups may be adjusted as attendance numbers come in, and the event has been rescheduled.

This free, one hour, hands-on workshop helps Rogue Valley residents prepare for wildfire smoke with practical tools and information. Participants receive all the supplies needed to assemble a simple household air cleaner at no cost, a materials package valued at $60, and guidance grounded in current science and health recommendations. Attendance is limited to 18 people and preregistration is required. Led by Sara Jones, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Ashland Forest Resiliency, the class covers how to put together a basic indoor air filter with the provided materials, enroll in the local emergency alert system, locate reliable air quality data and forecasts, use budget friendly strategies to improve indoor air, and set up a clean room for your household. What to do in Southern Oregon presents the event’s second year in the Rogue Valley, a comic book expo where attendees can browse thousands of issues and meet some of the writers and artists who create them. Entry is $5 at the door, and children 12 and under get in free. Proceeds support free community events that the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Rogue Comic Con takes part in throughout the year, including Medford Pride, Central Point Trick-or-Treat, and Medford Parks and Recreation's Howl-O-Ween. The gathering takes place at the Phoenix Plaza Civic Center next to the Phoodery.

The PNW Stompede Competition Tour celebrates its fifth season with a stop at The Rocky Tonk Saloon. Participants who compete at any of the twelve tour stops can qualify for the Jackpot finals at Jamie Lee Dance Fest. This stop gives competitors a chance to move one step closer to the culmination of the tour.

Join the Troon Vineyard & Farm Sunday Summer Market for a relaxed afternoon featuring local farmers and artisans, plus garden-to-guest lunches prepared by Chef Carl Krause. Stop by to sip wine in the garden, browse hand-crafted goods and sustainably sourced food, and enjoy live music with friends and family.

At Southern Oregon University, NBC Basketball Camps hosts an overnight training experience for boys ages 13 to 17. Beginning Drawing with Robert Arieas is a camp for ages 11-14 that focuses on building foundational drawing skills to elevate personal artwork. Central Art in Medford hosts open studio sessions for watercolor artists of any experience level. Under the guidance of group leader Alisha Whitman, participants focus on their own paintings while she paints alongside and offers optional feedback or one-on-one help. A spotlight on contemporary poetry brings together the work of Melissa Eleftherion and Lisa E Baldwin. Melissa Eleftherion, who uses she and they pronouns, is a writer, librarian, and visual artist originally from Brooklyn. Their books include field guide to autobiography (The Operating System, 2018), gutter rainbows (Querencia Press, 2024), Suture (Cooper Dillon, 2026), and Malocchia (White Stag, 2026), along with twelve chapbooks from various presses. Based in Northern California, they served as Poet Laureate for the City of Ukiah, manage the Ukiah Branch Library, and curate the LOBA Reading Series. Lisa E Baldwin is a poet, editor, and publisher based in the Lower Applegate Valley. She founded N8tive Run Press during the Covid lockdown in 2020, which has grown into a community-building platform amplifying rural voices through two recent anthologies, The Gathered Poems from Poetry for the People 2025 and Poetry for the Planet 2026: Voices from the Rogue Watershed. Her books include Truths and Consequences (2021) and Jerome Prairie Creation Myths (2023). This event centers on their published work and their contributions to literary communities.

Join the Genealogy 101 class series to learn the basics of family history research. The session for this date runs from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in person at the RVGS Library. The second running of the Legends of Dirt Modified Shootout returns to Southern Oregon Speedway with a three-day race week that opens with a Test & Tune session and a pit-party meet and greet, then builds to high-stakes main events. IMCA Modifieds headline alongside the Iron Giants and I-5 Silver Bullet Late Models, with $10,000 to win and $500 to start, the biggest IMCA Modified payout in Oregon and among the region’s largest. Special tributes will honor R. Charles Snyder and Bruce “The Rabbit” Rayburn. The inaugural year drew more than 90 cars, including 52 IMCA Modifieds, and featured Ethan Braaksma taking the $10,000 prize after a dramatic 40-lap battle with Bricen James, with teams traveling from across the West and Midwest. Registration details, rules, and the full weekend schedule will be announced soon, and a deep field with a big car count is anticipated.

This special interest group focuses on genealogy research in the thirteen original colonies. Meetings are available both on Zoom and in person at the RVGS Library. Facilitator Jeanne Hoadley leads conversations where participants share their stories and research experiences. New members need to register, while returning members do not.

An inclusive gaming social at Ashland Senior Program welcomes kids ages 8 to 14 of all skill levels. The event features video games, board games, and more in a friendly, supportive setting. Kids may bring a favorite game or discover something new. Families are welcome, and a light dinner is provided. Admission is free and requires registration. This gathering is part of a summer schedule focused on connection, friendship, and fun.

Participants can play Star Wars in a format chosen on site. It will run as either draft for $16 or constructed for $10, depending on community preference at arrival.

This Level 1 series introduces FatChanceBellyDance Style in a welcoming setting that emphasizes teamwork and group artistry. From the first session, participants begin moving with foundational techniques, and over seven weeks they progress to performing all Level 1 steps in formation. Instruction is led by Heather Adams, an FCBD Certified Studio Instructor. Ages 15 and up are welcome. Please bring a hip scarf, comfortable clothing such as yoga pants, and water; dance shoes and zills or finger cymbals are optional. Sessions take place at The Evergreen Ballroom in the Latin Room. Each class is $10, with payment accepted before class by cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp. The program is ongoing and repeats every other month.

Ashland City Band presents its summer concert series at the Butler Bandshell in Lithia Park. This 70-member ensemble, whose history stretches back to 1876, upholds a long tradition of weekly concerts and a Fourth of July parade appearance. Each program blends original compositions, orchestral transcriptions, marches, and selections from musicals, with guest soloists featured on many nights. Seating is limited, so attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and pack favorite picnic snacks. Pre-concert music is offered ahead of the main performance.
