The inaugural LHU Fall Classic introduces a reverse 50K on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. This point to point route starts at mile 31 near Hidden Valley in the Somerset area, heads south along the LHHT, and concludes at the trail’s terminus in Ohiopyle. Participants will count down the mile markers from 31 to 0 and finish just beyond the gate. The course follows the LHHT the entire way and features roughly 4,700 feet of ascent and 6,200 feet of descent. Finishing in Ohiopyle rather than a remote trailhead is intended to make a post race celebration possible.

The market takes place in the S&T Bank parking lot near S. 8th and Church in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Parking is plentiful on site, on surrounding streets, and in the adjacent borough lot, with bicycle parking at the intersection. The area is walkable and also accessible via IndiGO bus service. Please reserve the on-site lot for guests with greater mobility needs.

Enjoy a community celebration hosted by the Burrell Twp Volunteer Fire Department with a Fall Festival weekend that blends tradition, food, and family fun. One day features a tractor parade, with the kitchen open for a limited menu and a few vendors on site. The next day brings the full Fall Festival, beginning with Community Church and continuing with tractor rides, children’s crafts and activities, music, history, and displays of cars, tractors, and hit and miss engines. Visitors can browse vendors offering something for everyone and savor favorites like apple dumplings, apple cider, fish sandwiches, half chickens on the pit, pulled pork sandwiches, fries, and a bake and candy sale. There is no entrance charge, and donations support the Burrell Twp Volunteer Fire Department.
