The 3rd Annual Colonial Classic supports the Robert Morris University Bowling Team and introduces a singles handicap format that lets every participant compete individually while contributing to the cause. Competitors will bowl four games on four different pairs, then drop the lowest score. The highest three game total with handicap determines the winner. A challenge oil pattern will be announced closer to the event. Handicap is calculated at 80 percent of 206, the challenge pattern equivalent of a 220 standard average. Each bowler’s highest USBC sanctioned average from the 2025 to 2026 season will be used. If no sanctioned average exists for that season, an unsanctioned average may be accepted with a dated league sheet. Bowlers without an average will be assigned 158 for women and 185 for men. All averages will be converted to challenge pattern figures using the USBC conversion table, and the Tournament Director has final authority on averages. Youth bowlers may participate with a completed USBC Eligibility Consent form that waives prize money. Alternative awards will be offered for youth entrants. The entry fee is 50 dollars, allocated as 5 dollars for lineage, 25 dollars to the prize fund, and a 20 dollar donation to RMU Bowling. Payout is one in five entries, based on a minimum field of 50. Optional side action will be available, including scratch pot games, scratch and handicap brackets, and a second game blind handicap doubles option.
