Connect with a caring community at a non-competitive walk that reminds every participant they are not alone and that their steps matter. The distance is an easygoing 1 to 3 miles. Route details and additional information will be shared as the event approaches. The program includes an opening ceremony, moments centered on hope and healing, resource tables, and honor beads available at no cost for all participants. Registration is free.

The 1st Annual SSQ Poker Run features a ride with card stops at Classic Harley-Davidson on Route 183, PJ Whelihan’s, State Hill, and Pagoda City Brewhouse, with Shillington Social Quarters as the final stop. Pre-registration at Shillington Social Quarters is $25 per person, and an additional hand can be purchased for $10. Late registration is $30 per person. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best and worst hands, and winners must be present. Expect a 50/50, raffles, a silent auction, and dinner included. This event is open to non-members, and proceeds will help the club buy an efficient heating and A/C unit. Experience a calming Yin Yoga class at the Kula Kamala Foundation, welcoming all levels with no prior experience required. This slow, meditative practice features longer-held postures, generally three to five minutes, to nourish connective tissues such as tendons, fascia, and ligaments. The approach supports circulation in the joints, improves flexibility, and invites a quiet, reflective awareness of inner stillness and connection. Classes are offered by donation, with a suggested contribution of $10 per student per class, and take place in the Auditorium. Advance registration is preferred through the foundation’s website or mobile app, and each participant needs an individual registration. For arrival and parking, use the semi-circle in front of the Ashram, with additional parking available behind the building and in the side lot by the gardens, and enter through the front doors only. Ashram etiquette includes removing shoes and leaving them in the hallway, keeping shoulders covered when not practicing, speaking softly and respectfully, refraining from bringing food or drink into altar rooms, leaving water bottles in the hallway, and avoiding contact with the stained glass in the Saraswati Mandir.
