    Intro to Samskritam and Devanagari Level 1B - August 2026

    Level 1B continues the journey started in Intro to Samskritam and Devanagari Level 1A. Over four weeks, students deepen their skills with an introduction to simple and complex letters, voiced and unvoiced consonants, word formation, and simple declensions. Completion of Level 1A is required to participate. This class is offered in person at Kula Kamala Foundation & Yoga Ashram, with sessions held in the Saraswati Mandir, or live via Zoom. Recordings are not available. Additional levels will be offered later in the year, and students must complete all four weeks of a module before moving to the next level. Participation is by donation, with a suggested contribution of $10 per student per class or $40 for the full four-week module. Advance registration is preferred through the website or mobile app, and each attendee must register individually. When arriving, park on the semi circle in front of the Ashram or use the lots behind the building and by the gardens, and enter through the front doors only. Please observe Ashram etiquette by removing shoes and leaving them in the hallway, keeping shoulders covered when not practicing yoga, speaking softly and respectfully, not bringing food or drink into rooms with altars, leaving water bottles in the hallway, and refraining from touching the stained glass in the Saraswati Mandir.
