Led by instructor Jeffrey McCombie, this beginner class introduces the art of working with gourds through the creation of a pear. You will select a gourd, then prepare it with careful cleaning, sanding, and leveling to create a smooth surface for your design. Explore design and color, try different coloring methods, and choose the approach that suits your style. After viewing sample pieces, decide whether to add accents such as leaves or keep the look minimal. The class also covers how to seal and finish your work so it is ready for the holidays. Each participant completes a finished pear. A materials fee of $25 is due to the instructor at the start of class.

A festive holiday craft show brings makers together at Governor Mifflin Intermediate School in Reading, PA. Vendors must offer only handmade items, and baked goods are not allowed. Standard spaces are $30 and include two chairs, with tables available to rent for $5. Premiere spaces are $50, include a table and chairs, and must be purchased online, with checks not accepted for premiere spots. Space sizes vary by location, including 10 by 4 feet in the hallways and lobby, 8 by 6 feet in the cafeteria and gym, plus a limited number of 10 by 5 foot spaces. Returning vendors may request preferred areas on a first come, first served basis, though later requests are not guaranteed. Registration can be completed online or by downloading a form, and payment is available online or by mailing a registration form with a check payable to the Governor Mifflin Music Association to Keri Shultz. Adriano Sica, an Italian-born entertainer, takes the stage with a lively blend of rockabilly, bop, blues, and oldies that invites toe-tapping and sing-alongs. After a notable run performing around Graceland and the Memphis area, he met and played for his hero Jerry Lee Lewis and many others, then moved north to begin a family. Now rooted in Ephrata, he remains active in the local entertainment scene and brings an upbeat, high-energy show. The wine bar and tasting room offers tasting flights featuring five local wines for $10, along with homemade baked meatballs and a charcuterie board. A $10 per person table minimum applies during live entertainment.

Spend an evening at Wolf Sanctuary of PA for the Full Moon Fundraiser, a chance to connect with the Wolves of Speedwell. Settle in by the fire, visit resident packs, and delve into wolf biology and conservation with guides who share insights and answer questions. Attendance is limited to guests 16 and older with proof of age, and pets are not permitted. Admission is $35 per person, with the option to reserve in advance or pay upon arrival. SRCC hosts a punk showcase featuring Rebel Reapers, The Preps, and Addled Brains. Headlining the show, Rebel Reapers deliver a horror punk performance shaped by their Appalachian roots. The trio is led by singer and bassist Ripper, whose eerie vocals spin macabre tales, with Psycho on drums fueling the pace and Wolfman on guitar layering in howling riffs and unsettling melodies. The Preps perform ahead of the headliner. Active since 1996, they have played across the United States and are known for catchy hooks and high-energy sets. They are marking 30 years on Fool Records’ No Rules Tour, and their performance features new songs from Unstoppable, released May 8, 2026. Addled Brains completes the bill.
