Celebrate an extension of Providence’s Wicked Walk with a free, family-friendly Halloween experience in Roger Williams Park. Enjoy door-to-door trick-or-treating and seasonal fun at the Museum of Natural History & Planetarium and the Roger Williams Park Gateway Center. New this year, the Roger Williams Park Conservancy is sponsoring a Halloween arts and crafts table where kids can get creative and make something to take home. Costumes are encouraged, and activities for children of all ages include trick-or-treating, hands-on crafts, and other festive, family-focused fun across two park destinations. Guests may wish to dress up and bring trick-or-treat bags to make the most of the celebration.

Commander Night brings together players who love the game for creative strategy and engaging deck-building in a friendly setting. The community welcomes both experienced players and those just starting out, encouraging connections around the table and making it easy to learn. A wide selection of ready-to-play preconstructed decks is available, and knowledgeable staff offer tips and advice to help improve gameplay.

Take part in a monthly Pokemon-themed BINGO session featuring multiple rounds and a prize pool that grows with attendance. Entry is $10 per player and includes one BINGO card that can be used for every round, with extra cards available for $5 each, up to a total of four per player. Beginning breastfeeding can feel like a lot to navigate, yet with clear instruction and encouragement it can become manageable and rewarding. Healthy Babies, Happy Moms offers a Breastfeeding Class that helps expectant parents gain knowledge, practical skills, and confidence for the start of their feeding journey. It is well suited for those in the third trimester, and partners are encouraged to attend as part of the support team. The class covers the benefits of breastfeeding, prenatal breast assessment, how the breast works, positioning and breast support, recognizing suck patterns and achieving a comfortable latch, as well as common concerns that can arise for both babies and mothers. Taught by an experienced lactation team in East Greenwich, the session provides a welcoming setting to ask questions and practice hands-on techniques so participants feel more prepared for the early days and weeks with a new baby. Registration is required, enrollment is limited to keep the experience personal, and the fee is $75 per couple.

The 7th Annual Racers for RICAN Fill A Race Car Toy Drive brings together Ayla Martin and her crew chief, Derek Gluchacki, who are teaming up for the first time at this charitable collection. Derek will have his Modified on site, and Ayla will arrive with the #91 Late Model, with the shared goal of filling both race cars with donations that support children and families in need during the holiday season. Suggested contributions include new, unused and unwrapped toys, new and unused clothing, and non-perishable food items. Set in the Burlingame State Park Picnic Area, this trail race offers 4 mile and 8 mile options on mostly dirt paths with some stretches of dirt and asphalt road. Check in and bib pick up are available on site, with registration inside the cabin, and parking in the DEM picnic area lot. To help spread out the field, both routes begin with just under a mile along Sanctuary Road, a low traffic dead end dirt road. From there, the 8 mile course turns right and follows single track counterclockwise around Watchaug Pond before returning to the picnic area lot. The 4 mile course continues straight into the DEM owned Kimball Preserve, makes a loop through the Burlingame State Park campground, and heads back to the same start and finish via Sanctuary Road. The 8 mile distance has a two hour cutoff, equal to a 15 minute per mile pace. After that point, support, official timing, and post race food may not be available, so plan accordingly. Walkers are welcome and are asked to select the shorter 4 mile course. Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. Hot soup, food, and cider are served after the finish for all participants. For safety, every participant and volunteer must wear at least 200 square inches of orange in accordance with a State of Rhode Island DEM mandate, and anyone not meeting this requirement will not be allowed to race. Awards are presented in both distances to the top male and female overall, plus first place in male and female age groups. For the 8 mile race, age groups are 13 and under, 14 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus.
