    Scott Low

Home Team BBQ, 126 Williman St, Charleston
    See details

At Home Team BBQ-Downtown, Southern songwriter Scott Low brings music that blends blues grit with folk storytelling and the unhurried touch of a river guide. His recent releases Struttin’ Round Town (2025) and The Appalachian Blues (2024) tap into the rural South, pairing rough-hewn guitar, smoldering vocals, and lived-in lyrics that move from swaggering grooves to bare acoustic confessionals. After winning the 2025 Atlanta Blues Challenge, he presents Grateful Blues in full, as heard on Grateful Dead XM, honoring Jerry Garcia. Ranked among the top ten acoustic blues albums of 2025, it salutes the meeting place of traditional blues and psychedelic Americana. The performance reimagines blues standards favored by the Grateful Dead and offers fresh takes on Dead originals, fusing raw Delta textures with an improvisational spirit.

    The Brook & The Bluff

The Windjammer, 1009 Ocean Blvd, Isle of Palms · verified Aug 7
    See details

The Brook & The Bluff bring their Werewolf tour to the stage with a sound shaped by the electricity of their live show. Werewolf marks a turn toward louder guitars, faster grooves, and ringing four-part harmonies, all anchored by the band’s tight songwriting and layered vocals. After nearly ten years on the road and a catalog with streaming totals in the hundreds of millions for favorites like Halfway Up and Everything Is Just a Mess, the group reconvened in Nashville for morning writing and rehearsal sessions while life changes like marriages and divorces unfolded in the background. The music carries a swamp-rock vibe that nods to Creedence, Tom Petty, and the Eagles, and features the lead single Super Bowl Sunday, a thundering yet reflective anthem about ego and the blind spots it creates. Frontman Joseph Settine notes they approached the album as if it were a concert set, and that live-first mindset fuels the tour. Their resume includes sold-out headline runs across the continent, appearances at major festivals, and support slots for Noah Kahan, Mt. Joy, The Avett Brothers, Ashe, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise.
