Please keep the gate entrance clear. Each car may bring up to two cats, and the clinic accepts a maximum of 30 cats. Cats must arrive in a trap before check-in, otherwise they will not be admitted. The fee is $30 per cat and includes vaccines, an ear tip, a microchip, and spay or neuter. Cats are picked up the same day, and the only information provided at pickup is the microchip number. Plan to release each cat back to the exact location where it was found the following day, and an instruction sheet is provided to help with aftercare. Personal pets are not eligible, as these resources are dedicated to unowned community cats. Trap rentals are available through the Pet Support Department for $30 for seven days and are refundable upon return. An evening at the waterparks and pool is set aside to welcome people with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers, in a friendly, sensory considerate setting. The atmosphere is designed to make splashing, relaxing, and exploring the attractions comfortable for all. Admission is $10 per person and applies to chaperones and caregivers as well. Children 2 and under are free, and anyone with a Basic or Super Splash Pass is admitted at no charge. Every participant must have a paid chaperone. For accessibility, parking and restrooms are accessible. The route from parking includes both gravel and paved areas before a paved walkway leads into the waterpark, and event activities occur on paved surfaces. There is no accessibility tent. At Cycle Gear in North Charleston, this charity motorcycle ride brings the community together for Gabby, a 20-year-old correctional officer recovering from a devastating crash. While riding to a work meeting, her bike struck a tree and she was thrown more than 100 feet, leading to emergency surgery that saved her right leg and a series of severe injuries that include a badly damaged right leg, a broken left leg, a broken left arm and shoulder, fractures to her face and skull, and fractures to her lower spine. She was airlifted for treatment, received six units of blood, and spent a month in intensive care before being released. Gabby currently cannot walk and needs continuous care. Adding to the difficulty, she had not yet enrolled in health insurance, she does not qualify for FMLA, and she has no income during recovery. Her mother, a single parent, is caring for her at home while working two jobs and raising Gabby’s younger brother. With Strange Ones Motorsports, the ride focuses support through registrations, raffle tickets, silent auction bids, donations, and spreading the word, all to help cover medical bills, rehabilitation, equipment, and daily living expenses. Riders on sportbikes, cruisers, touring bikes, and trikes, along with supporters who are not riding, are welcome. The spirit of the day centers on encouragement and solidarity as Gabby works toward healing, walking again, returning to her career, and eventually getting back on a motorcycle.

Now in its 10th anniversary year, She Tris GIRL offers a youth centered triathlon experience designed to welcome girls of all backgrounds and abilities into a positive, encouraging atmosphere. It is part of the She Tris Sprint Triathlon series, an all women collection of events that takes place in cities such as Mount Pleasant, South Charlotte, Summerville, Huntersville, and Chapel Hill. Participants receive a free training plan, educational clinics, group support, a She Tris swim cap and shirt, finish line photos, a finisher keepsake, and a celebration at the finish. Age based courses keep the challenge appropriate at every stage. Ages 4 to 6 complete a 25 yard swim, a 1 mile bike, and a 1 mile run. Ages 7 to 9 take on a 50 yard swim with the same 1 mile bike and 1 mile run. Ages 10 to 12 and 13 to 14 cover a 100 yard swim, a 3 mile bike, and a 1.5 mile run. A virtual format is also available for triathlon, duathlon, or aquathlon so participants can complete the distances anywhere and upload results, with packets available for local pickup or by mail. The mission centers on creating a welcoming space for women and girls to try triathlon, build confidence through the challenge, and carry that achievement into other parts of life.

This annual Rescue Me adoption event offers a family friendly day focused on helping animals find permanent homes. Attendees can enjoy food from local food trucks, browse goods from area vendors and crafters, and visit the Hullette Farm and Events mobile petting zoo. Several local rescue groups will be on site with adoptable animals ready to meet new families. Berkeley County residents receive free admission to Cypress Gardens for the day. The event helps raise funds for local rescues and Friends of Berkeley County Animals while celebrating the community and all that Cypress Gardens offers. Vendor and food truck applications are being accepted. For safety, no personal animals are allowed, and during alligator season animals are not permitted on the walking trails.

An airsoft big game with milsim elements launches a new player driven series where actions determine the narrative. Friday offers registration and chrono. Sunday continues with evolution two following registration. Expect mission focused play supported by multiple props and chances to pick up collectibles. South Carolina’s premier gathering for overlanding, camping, and off-roading returns for a family-friendly weekend beside a beautiful Lowcountry lake. Attendees choose their own campsite and arrive in camper vans, 4x4 vehicles with rooftop tents, adventure bikes, RVs, or classic ground tents. The program is typically packed with hands-on experiences and outdoor fun, which may include a flight demonstration by the Birds of Prey Center, combat archery, the Serpentarium, an RC course, laser skeet shooting, blacksmith metal forging demos, a kids fossil hunt, mushroom foraging, fish printing, off-roading workshops, raffles, night vision goggle demos, and scavenger hunts.
