    A pair of single-day hunter shows recognized by the Middle Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association features the same slate of classes on both days. Offerings range from Walk-Trot Poles through a two foot six inch Derby, giving area riders plenty of chances to participate in a schooling format. Points accumulate across the series, with year end ribbons and high point awards presented by division, and all classes are eligible for MTHJA points.     Hyden Beach is hosting a men’s and women’s doubles tournament with A (intermediate) and BB (lower intermediate) divisions, open to both adults and juniors. Competition begins with pool play and continues into a single-elimination bracket, with the structure adjusted by the number of teams and divisions to allow for as many matches as possible. A minimum of five teams is required in at least one division, or in a combined division, for the tournament to run. AVPA membership is required, with Gold needed for national events and at least Silver for local tournaments. Registration capacity will be released based on demand. Walk-up entries are not allowed, and payment in advance is required to confirm entry. The format may change, and divisions may be combined if necessary.

Sewing instructors will teach how to assemble five inch blocks in a simple nine patch layout, and precut blocks will be provided. Finished quilts will be donated to Project Linus.
