This weekend in Franklin, TN

A pair of single-day hunter shows recognized by the Middle Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association features the same slate of classes on both days. Offerings range from Walk-Trot Poles through a two foot six inch Derby, giving area riders plenty of chances to participate in a schooling format. Points accumulate across the series, with year end ribbons and high point awards presented by division, and all classes are eligible for MTHJA points. Hyden Beach is hosting a men’s and women’s doubles tournament with A (intermediate) and BB (lower intermediate) divisions, open to both adults and juniors. Competition begins with pool play and continues into a single-elimination bracket, with the structure adjusted by the number of teams and divisions to allow for as many matches as possible. A minimum of five teams is required in at least one division, or in a combined division, for the tournament to run. AVPA membership is required, with Gold needed for national events and at least Silver for local tournaments. Registration capacity will be released based on demand. Walk-up entries are not allowed, and payment in advance is required to confirm entry. The format may change, and divisions may be combined if necessary.

Held at Brentwood Baptist Church, the Navigating the Parkinson’s Path Expo focuses on sharing practical information for people living with Parkinson’s, as well as their caregivers and family members. Attendees can explore community resources and build connections with others across the Middle Tennessee Parkinson’s community.

Enjoy a curated farmers market that gathers local farmers and vendors at the Factory at Franklin. Taking place on Saturdays year-round, it provides a welcoming place to browse and connect with the community. Look for it beneath the Water Tower Plaza by the main entrance to the Factory at Franklin.

Sew quilted blankets that will be given to the Nashville chapter of Project Linus, helping provide comfort, warmth, and a sense of security to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Participants should bring their own sewing machine, threaded and ready to use, and be confident with basic sewing skills. Sewing instructors will teach how to assemble five inch blocks in a simple nine patch layout, and precut blocks will be provided. Finished quilts will be donated to Project Linus. Enjoy a relaxed farm visit with plenty of hands-on moments. Cuddle baby goats, meet cows, chickens, and pigs, and get a look at a working goat dairy while learning about the animals that live there. Sample fresh goat cheese from the farm, and take part in a guided tour of the farm. Tickets are $12 per person and can be purchased online, with free admission for children ages 2 and under.

A monthly Divination Share is launching at the shop, offering a welcoming space to explore and practice with any divination tools. This inaugural gathering is free and open to everyone. Enjoy The Franklin Band’s annual Songwriter Showcase and Silent Auction, featuring an evening of music, stories, and community. Doors open at 6:00 PM for silent auction shopping and a VIP early access meet-and-greet, with the songwriter showcase performances beginning at 7:00 PM. The event is hosted by Jesse James from 103.3’s Jesse James Morning Show and includes featured Nashville songwriters Gordon Kennedy and Neil Medley, plus opening performances by Carter Windham and Collins Horton. Step into the spirit of a Latin dance hall at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center as Diana Sosa leads Diana's Mambo Maniacs in a lively salute to the golden era of mambo and salsa. Zoso brings a powerhouse Led Zeppelin tribute to The Franklin Theatre, celebrating 31 years on the road. With nearly 5,000 shows across all 50 states and recognition from the LA Times for surpassing other Zeppelin tributes, the band channels the raw energy and intricate musicianship of a vintage Zeppelin concert. The performance spans the biggest hits and deeper tracks, all in an intimate 300 seat room where every riff lands with impact.

Big Little Stories Camp is a hands-on creative writing experience for kids in Franklin. Campers will learn the basics of story structure, come up with original characters and plots, and then create their own bound book to take home. The camp runs in the morning and focuses on building confidence and sparking creativity.
