Books in Bloom is a free story time held right on the flower farm. Bring a blanket or chair, and plan to have sunscreen and water (or snacks) for your visit.

A weekly, farmer-led market brings the community entirely locally raised foods and goods from Carter County, Tennessee, and nearby areas. Every purchase is made directly from local farmers, with an emphasis on producers who use natural, chemical-free methods. Offerings include pasture raised USDA beef, pork, lamb and goat, as well as pasture raised chicken, seasonal produce such as greens, vegetables, fruit, berries and microgreens, plus mushrooms. Find raw cow milk, yogurt and butter, local honey, pasture raised eggs, goat cheese, herbs, seasonings and sauces, jams and jellies, sourdough bread, freshly roasted coffee beans, and a variety of baked goods, desserts, snacks and treats. There are also homemade pet treats, fresh cut flower bouquets, live plants, natural skincare and household items, and artisan work including woodworking and pottery. The market atmosphere features live music, food trucks, a fenced playground, restrooms, ADA parking and pavilions. Many vendors accept SNAP and EBT. A free produce program called Farmacy Fit invites participants of any age to take a walk or complete a brief chair exercise to earn tokens that can be spent on produce, and it is open to everyone. This guided group meditation offers an open, welcoming space for silent or lightly guided practice. The session centers on ana pana, also called natural respiration or nostril breathing, with plenty of quiet and occasional gentle instruction. All experience levels are welcome, including beginners. Registration is available through a donation button or by dropping in. A sliding-scale donation of 2.00 to 8.00 supports a teahouse nonprofit, and participation is welcome regardless of ability to pay. Food and drink purchases are encouraged. The gathering takes place in a classroom and meditation space on the second level. Organized by Bradley Dargan, a yoga practitioner and instructor with more than 15 years of meditation experience who focuses on breath and mindfulness practices.

A welcoming yoga session led by Angela Steel takes place in the downstairs space at The Lotus Room. The class is suitable for practitioners of every experience level, from first-timers to long-time students. Participation is donation based, with a suggested contribution of $5 to $20.

Come play Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition in a beginner-friendly, no-pressure group for adults 18+. You can drop in if there’s space, but advance registration is preferred since the group is limited to 8 people. Materials aren’t required to start. Plan for a suggested sliding-scale donation of $0 to $5, or you’re welcome to support by purchasing food or drinks.
