After court papers are signed, the work of parenting keeps going. Many parents who adopt through foster care see support systems fade, even as they face trauma-aware parenting, attachment concerns, school advocacy, and fatigue. This peer support group offers a calm, nonjudgmental setting created for parents who have adopted from foster care, whether the adoption happened recently or years ago. Expect connection with others who truly understand, space to talk about real wins and hard moments, and steady encouragement grounded in empathy and lived experience. Participation can look like sharing or simply listening until speaking feels right, and there is no pressure to have everything figured out. The gathering exists to provide ongoing community for those parenting children from hard beginnings, so no one has to navigate post-adoption life in isolation. It is intended for parents who have adopted from foster care and for anyone seeking understanding, connection, and continued support after adoption.
