With regional drought pressures growing, four expert presenters will cover rainwater harvesting, choosing native plants, building healthy soils, and caring for watersheds, sharing practical tips that support resilient landscapes and help reduce costs. General admission is $45 and includes all four sessions with Q&A, a continental breakfast, a boxed lunch, a take-home resource packet, and a swag bag. Attendees can also browse a vendor market and look forward to door prizes, and free parking is available on site. Seating is limited.

Down Home Ranch’s 23rd Annual Gala, Rhinestone Cowboy, brings a western-glam celebration to the Bastrop Convention Center. The evening blends dinner, community, and both live and silent auctions in support of the Ranchers and the programs at Down Home Ranch. Guests can look forward to rhinestones, boots, generous giving, and plenty of Down Home spirit. Proceeds benefit DHR’s residential, camp, day, and respite programs that create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Programming from Down Home Ranch, dinner by Rising Sun Vineyard, auctions presented by Down Home Ranch and BuckUp Auctions, and a party on the dance floor round out the night. Boots on.
