A creative, hands-on epoxy workshop at Boring Bodega inside Hyper Loop Plaza in Bastrop invites makers to design a custom piece for the home. Choose a project such as an epoxy river charcuterie board, lazy susan, clock, key holder shelf, coasters, or a mini pair. Each piece features premium black walnut and other fine hardwoods, highlighted with epoxy in up to two colors that you select on site. After the session, projects cure for about a week before entering a professional finishing phase that typically takes 8 to 10 weeks, with timing influenced by class size and shipping. When complete, your finished piece is shipped to you. All ticket sales are final, though someone may attend in your place if you cannot make it. Every participant age 12 and up needs a ticket, and a couples ticket allows two people to collaborate on one project.

With regional drought pressures growing, four expert presenters will cover rainwater harvesting, choosing native plants, building healthy soils, and caring for watersheds, sharing practical tips that support resilient landscapes and help reduce costs. General admission is $45 and includes all four sessions with Q&A, a continental breakfast, a boxed lunch, a take-home resource packet, and a swag bag. Attendees can also browse a vendor market and look forward to door prizes, and free parking is available on site. Seating is limited.

Down Home Ranch’s 23rd Annual Gala, Rhinestone Cowboy, brings a western-glam celebration to the Bastrop Convention Center. The evening blends dinner, community, and both live and silent auctions in support of the Ranchers and the programs at Down Home Ranch. Guests can look forward to rhinestones, boots, generous giving, and plenty of Down Home spirit. Proceeds benefit DHR’s residential, camp, day, and respite programs that create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
