Legal e-bike riders should arrive early for inspection and permitting, and keep motors off during the class. A parent or responsible adult must remain nearby throughout the session. Students start with embroidery hoop exercises to practice threading a needle and the running stitch, then move to a sewing machine practice sheet to get comfortable with the presser foot and turning corners. After that foundation, participants choose from two projects such as a pencil roll or a drawstring bag and work at their own pace. Both machine sewing and hand stitching are included, and all supplies are provided. JoJo, the studio cat who loves textiles and things that clink like needles and pins, may stop by for inspections and pets. Classes take place on the second floor, and while there is no elevator, the teacher can assist anyone who needs help with the stairs.
