Trinity River Challenge at McInnish Park Boat Ramp features two main distances, 6 miles and 12 miles, with separate starts and a buoy-marked finish. Paddlers can enter canoe, kayak, stand up paddleboard, or unlimited divisions, with options for solo or tandem. Surf skis are placed in the unlimited class. The 6 mile course turns at the Hwy 35 bridge before returning to the finish, while the 12 mile course continues to the Hebron Parkway kayak launch for its turn before heading back. Same day registration is available, followed by a pre-race briefing. A special 2 mile youth race is offered at no cost for participants 17 and under. Competitors ages 12 to 17 may race solo or tandem, and those 11 and under must paddle with an adult. Entry fees for the 6 or 12 mile races are per paddler and set at $10 for ages 1 through 17 and $35 for ages 18 and up.
