The narrative follows a young boy discovering the rhythms of campus life, inviting audiences into scenes of band pageantry, step traditions, protest, classroom wisdom, and the pride of belonging to an HBCU, and why that connection remains vital today. Original music by Dr. John L. Cornelius II, a PVAMU professor and collaborative pianist, lighting by alumnus Bryan Ealy, and performances by Houston’s Urban Souls Dance Company come together with artists, alumni, and current students for a vibrant, multigenerational ensemble.
