Designed for mothers and their little ones ages 0 to 2, this faith-centered mommy and me class offers a calm, unhurried environment to connect through stories, songs, infant massage, sensory play, movement, and shared moments. Each family receives a keepsake children’s book, and the group revisits the same story over several weeks. This gentle repetition supports early learning, builds anticipation, and fosters sweet rhythms that can continue at home. Whether parenting for the first time or caring for another child, participants can find encouragement, friendship, and a warm community where both caregiver and child can flourish. Sessions are led by Stephanie Harris, founder of Cedar and Honey, a licensed massage therapist, certified infant massage instructor, certified birth doula, and certified biblical counselor. The class aims to help participants leave feeling stronger, more comfortable, and better prepared for the journey ahead. When time permits, complimentary KT taping is offered after class to provide added support for low back pain, round ligament pain, pelvic discomfort, and belly support. This monthly meet at Jaggers in Longview takes place on the first Thursday of each month and features cars, trucks, music, and food. There are no entry fees or registration requirements, and all cars and trucks are welcome.

A limited number of loaner instruments may be available. Seating can run short, so a lawn chair is recommended. Gilmer High School28th Annual Longview Doubles
The 28th Annual Longview Doubles brings two-person tournament action to Oil Bowl Lanes with a field limited to the first 64 teams that pay. Entry is $500 per team, and a $250 deposit is required to secure a spot. Out of town payments are accepted by money order, cashier’s check, Venmo at Trabue74 or Cash App at $Trabue74 as friends and family, and only cash is accepted on the day of competition. Of each entry, $480 goes to the prize fund and $20 covers lineage and expenses. The tournament is not USBC sanctioned, but play follows the USBC rulebook. Two PBA members may partner, with a cap of one teammate who ranks in the Top 40 in points after the WSOB or who has earned a National PBA title within the last five years. Employees of Oil Bowl are eligible to compete. Matches consist of a three game series decided by total pinfall. If a match ends even, a ninth and tenth frame roll off determines the winner. One lane of courtesy is observed. Each bowler is limited to two re-racks per set unless a tournament official approves more. Ball surface changes are allowed only during practice or between squads. A bowlers meeting takes place before competition begins, then every team bowls one round before play pauses. Bowling continues until the bracket is finished, and payouts are made to one in four entries. Inappropriate conduct is not allowed and may result in disqualification.

Part of the LMFA LIVE Concert Series, Hollis Brown brings a set of gritty, rootsy rock with vivid storytelling. The New York bred band has built a reputation through heavy touring across the United States and Europe, sharing bills with Deer Tick, Lucero, and Counting Crows since their debut in 2009. Highlights from their catalog include the Nashville crafted album Ride on the Train and 3 Shots, which features a rare Bo Diddley recording and a collaboration with Nikki Lane. Their work has earned attention through sold out Record Store Day releases, placements on the series Shameless and in major film trailers, and a well regarded Velvet Underground tribute that began with a Lou Reed benefit performance. Signed to Mascot Records, the group released Ozone Park in 2019 and later offered a Rolling Stones cover from their tribute album In the Aftermath. The concert unfolds in a beautifully restored former bank that creates an intimate atmosphere for listeners and performers. Tickets are $30, with advance purchase encouraged, and attendees are welcome to bring their own beverages and snacks.
