Experience a guided Bayou Safari Tour at Armand Bayou Nature Center aboard an electric vehicle that travels through the riparian forest, out to Armand Bayou, and back across the coastal tall-grass prairie. Along the way, a guide shares an insider look at native plants and wildlife, with the chance to see resident animal ambassadors. Reservations are required, and participants must be at least 5 years old. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Pricing is $13 for members and $15 for non-members.

Experience a peaceful pontoon cruise on Armand Bayou, taking in tranquil water views and the surrounding scenery. Wildlife encounters are part of the draw, with the chance to spot herons, gators basking along the banks, and native plants. Summer EcoCamps at Armand Bayou Nature Center offer children a week immersed in nature with hands-on exploration and classic camp fun. Weekly sessions run Monday through Friday with half day or full day options, and single day camps are available at the start and close of the season in a full day format. Campers might try fishing, canoeing, pond studies, bug collecting, birding, hiking, dip netting, creative projects, live animal encounters, and camp games. Each session features new themes to keep things fresh. Open to ages 4 to 13. Registration is available and space may be limited.
