All supplies are provided, and the experience is beginner friendly with no painting background needed. If you do not finish during class, the instructor will send paint home so you can complete your piece later. Finished quilts are well suited for display on a fence, the exterior of a home, or an interior wall.

Canvas and Culture at Cole’s Flea Market brings artists, makers, families, and neighbors together to honor creativity, culture, and community. Professional muralists will paint a large community piece in real time, and attendees can add their own brushstrokes so the finished work reflects many hands. Creative stations invite people to make their own art, while a marketplace highlights one-of-a-kind handmade items from local artists, sculptors, crafters, designers, and other creative entrepreneurs. The experience also features live entertainment, cultural activities, family friendly fun, and food. At Manvel Public Library, this Saturday Movers & Shakers session is created for toddlers 18 months to 3 years old. The program centers on rhythmic body percussion and building fine motor skills, with dancing, singing, reading, and playful props to help channel morning energy in a fun, structured way. Participation is limited to 35 participants per session. Thursday sessions are also available.

Walk the red carpet, dress in your finest tuxedo or gown, and lean into a secret-agent or classic Hollywood vibe. Expect casino-style play, elegant ambiance, abundant appetizers, drinks, lively entertainment, and a lavish raffle, all fueling a meaningful cause. Tickets are $125 and include casino entry, beverages, heavy appetizers, and raffle tickets, with sales opening in spring 2026. Attendees must be 21 or older. Proceeds benefit the Gale High School scholarship program and help fund a new library marquee.

The fourteenth annual Head for the Cure 5K comes to Pearland Town Center, bringing the Houston community together for awareness, fundraising, and hope in support of those affected by brain tumors. The event benefits MD Anderson Brain & Spine Center along with the organization’s national programs.
