Set at Tuscany Venue, this milestone race is part of a four-event program designed to carry runners into marathon season with structure and community. Chapel Hill offers a free food pantry for those in need, with service limited to the first 75 families each distribution day. Lining up before opening is allowed, and capacity can be reached quickly. A number is issued to start the process, an intake coordinator begins the paperwork, and a registration volunteer completes it. After registration, if qualified, participants drive to the front of the church, open the trunk, and volunteers load a cart of food. The pantry may be used once per family every thirty days. It does not operate during the week of New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.
