It aligns with long-run training and welcomes athletes preparing for the San Antonio Marathon or Half, the BCS Marathon or Half, or anyone who wants an energizing checkpoint on the way to winter race goals. Participants can choose from a half marathon at 13.1 miles, a 10K, a 5K, or team up for two-person or four-person relays. Every race in the series includes a finisher medal and a custom tri-blend shirt. Age-group awards go four deep and are based on chip timing, and there are overall male, female, and masters honors. Runners ages 16 and under and 70 and older receive an automatic 50 percent discount, and age-group categories span from 14 and under through 90 plus. Completing all four events, whether on site or virtually, earns an additional medal. The series also creates opportunities to support local nonprofits. Race day reminders include arriving early enough for bib pickup and start-line prep. Wear your bib on the front, kept flat to ensure accurate timing. Check your information and results before leaving. If you do not finish, notify the timing team. Bringing a change of clothes makes the awards ceremony more comfortable, and friends or family can get involved by volunteering. A virtual option is available if attending in person is not possible. Sawyer Brown

For more than forty years, Sawyer Brown has powered across stages with high-voltage country rock and a catalog of what lead singer Mark Miller calls life songs rather than love songs. The band first hit the national spotlight on the debut season of Star Search with Ed McMahon, turning early Nashville rejections into a streak of crowd-winning television performances. Their sound drew comparisons to country favorites like Alabama and the Charlie Daniels Band, while their look nodded to rock icons such as the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. Riding that momentum, they spent their earliest stretch on the road opening arena shows across the United States for Kenny Rogers, learning from a master before quickly carving out their own path with hits, sold out venues, and a reputation for relentless showmanship. Decades later, they continue to deliver a blue-collar, grass-roots message with the grit of a traveling band that blends rock and country in equal measure. The Boys and Me Live Tour carries that legacy forward with the same dedication to fans and no sign of slowing down.

Arnez J at the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club

Arnez J brings a high-energy, physically expressive set to Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club San Antonio, drawing big laughs through movement and vivid facial expressions. He hosted two seasons of BET’s long-running Comic View, following a line of hosts that includes D. L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer, and his latest special, Racially Motivated, is available on Netflix. His road to comedy began while working as a flight attendant, where keeping passengers and crew laughing led him to the stand-up stage. Scouts later recruited him to the Harlem Globetrotters after seeing his athletic brand of comedy at a local game, and a knee injury there cleared the way for a full-time focus on stand-up. An Atlanta native, he rose on the Georgia circuit, became a finalist in the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition, and went on to appear on programs such as The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show, Louie Anderson’s Comedy Showcase, Comedy Central’s Make Me Laugh, NBC’s Friday Night Videos, The Mo’Nique Show, Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam, a BET Comic View Grandstand Hour special, and Comedy Central Presents, as well as headlining Showtime’s Shaquille O’Neal Presents All Star Comedy Jam.
