A farmers market takes place every Saturday.

At the annual MLK Back to School Festival, students of all ages and their families can drive through to receive free backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials for the new school year. No registration is required to attend or to receive items. Children must be present in the vehicle to receive supplies. To keep everything moving smoothly, the limit is two families per car and up to four children per family. Distribution is first come, first served while supplies last. Organizations and businesses can register as Community Partners to take part.

MT is hosting a free community back to school drive offering essential supplies to help students begin the new year prepared. It is open to all kids, with items provided at no cost so every student can step into school feeling confident. This Back to School gathering at Oaks Church brings families together to celebrate the start of a new school year with prayers for students, teachers, and school administrators. A dedicated lounge will be available for teachers to pick up a free gift. K-12 students can receive free haircuts and backpacks.

Wrap up the 4th year of SADBYSOUTHWEST with a Sunday matinee song-swap show featuring James Gedda and Taylor Maide. It’s a free event, with tips appreciated.

Representative Rafael Anchia hosts an annual back to school fair at Halperin Park, offering both practical support and festive activities for the new school year. Attendees can pick up one of 3,500 backpacks filled with school essentials. Bikes and helmets will be available at no cost. Registration is available for 6U flag football at $100, 8U through 12U tackle football at $250, and 6U through 14U cheer for $200.
