Youth Block Party

God’s Church of Restoration is hosting the 2nd Annual Youth Block Party, a free community celebration focused on food, fun, faith, family, and fellowship. The event is open to the public and welcomes the entire community. Guests are welcome to bring friends, neighbors, and family to share in the festivities.

Mission History Tour

Set out on a guided exploration of Mission Espiritu Santo, focusing on daily life in and around the mission during the Spanish Colonial era. At Goliad State Park and Historic Site, the story spans Native American traditions, Spanish settlement marked by the mission’s construction, and restoration work completed by the Civilian Conservation Corp. Hear about why the mission was founded and how different communities clashed, collaborated, and learned from one another. Meet behind headquarters beneath the live oak a few minutes before the tour begins. The program is included with park entry, which is $4 per adult and free for children 12 and under. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes, and bring water, particularly in warmer weather. There is no restroom at the mission, so use the facilities at headquarters in advance. Tours may be canceled. Attendance is capped at 60 and available on a first come basis, with no reservations. Groups of 15 or more should arrange a separate tour by calling headquarters at (361) 645-3405. If attendance exceeds 60, large groups cannot be accommodated on the standard tour.

KFC BBQ Plate and Bake Sale Fundraiser

Brisket plate sales and a bake sale are raising funds for the youth program to attend church camp. KFC kids are pitching in by selling tickets for the plates, taking part in service and teamwork as they work toward a shared goal. Camp offers time for young people to deepen their faith, learn from Scripture, and draw closer to Jesus, laying foundations that can guide them well into the future. Investing in children today helps shape the next generation. Purchasing a brisket plate or choosing something from the bake sale directly supports these kids as they work toward camp and continue growing in their faith.

Singo Bingo

Singo Bingo offers a twist on the classic game at Victoria College Emerging Technology Complex. The event features lively music, prizes, and an energetic atmosphere, and it also celebrates a 40th anniversary. Tickets are available.

Midnight in Monte Carlo Jubilee

The St. Joseph High School Midnight in Monte Carlo Jubilee is an annual fundraiser that supports STJ’s general operations, sustaining rigorous academics, a vibrant spiritual life, advanced technology, and an accomplished faculty. The evening features casino-style entertainment, live and online auctions, a raffle and other games, and dinner provided by Back Door Catering. Each ticket includes $5,000 in play money for the casino. Those who are not attending in person can still participate by purchasing raffle tickets for a Las Vegas getaway for two or by bidding in the online auction. The celebration takes place at Spring Creek Place Event Center.

Space and the Symphony: The Final Frontier

This concert features a film presentation of the 1969 first moon landing, One Small Step, with music by Aaron Copland. The program concludes with The Planets by Gustav Holst, completing a space themed program focused on the final frontier.

Sad Clown: Vol. 1

Beer Thirty / Beer Thirty Decades hosts an all ages night of electronic sounds presented by Sad Clown. The lineup includes Othering with alternative electronic from Dallas, Sucio bringing darkwave from the DFW area, The Radio Broadcast offering synthpop out of Houston, and Circuit Demon delivering cyberpunk from Victoria, plus a DJ set from Temptrix highlighting Texas darkwave and EBM. Admission is 10 dollars, cash only. Stage decor will be created by Interstellar Blooms for an added visual touch.

Path to Valor Wrestling brings a community celebration to Memorial Auditorium with a full day of shopping, food, and live pro wrestling. After the market wraps, the energy rises with live professional wrestling, featuring hard-hitting action, colorful characters, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Entry to the market is free, and tickets for the wrestling show are $10.

Fill-A-Jar

16 Creations debuts its Fill-A-Jar event at Blume & Flour, offering on-the-spot refills when attendees bring an empty jar. This is a chance to purchase household cleaning products at discounted prices. The products are eco-friendly and free of fillers and dyes, and refills continue until sold out.

C-Los (Carlos) 60th Birthday Bash

This birthday bash marks Carlos turning 60 and features two co-headlining bands. Carlos’ band, The Crossroads Troubadours, shares the stage with Julian Jimenez & The Storm. The Armadillo Cafe will be open serving food. Reservations are highly recommended, and there is a $5 cover.

Car Show Fundraiser and Brisket Plates

A fundraising event centered on a car show. Tickets for brisket plates will be available, and there will be a variety of activities for families.

LB Select Meat Market Grand Opening

LB Select Processing & Meat Market marks its opening with a welcoming celebration that showcases premium cuts, handcrafted staples, and friendly small town service. 2 Down 2026 Spring Bike Show

The sixth annual 2 Down Bike Show arrives at a new location, the Cuero Family Entertainment Center, also known as Jailbreak Bar. This family friendly gathering features a showcase of motorcycles, awards, vendors, music and live entertainment. Food trucks and cold beverages will be on hand, and there is a playground and games for kids. Shoppers can browse a range of vendors, including the 2 Down merchandise trailer. For those planning to extend their stay, RV camping and cabins are available on site, and a hotel block rate is offered at a nearby hotel. Additional information about classes will be shared soon.

Participate in the Bay Rat Race, a race from Calhouns to Sanders Park, a course of approximately 20 miles. All proceeds are given to the Bay Support Crew. Tasmin and Tim

Tasmin and Tim return to The Hideaway for a Sunday Funday performance. Also known as TnT, the duo brings the lively energy that made their previous visit so much fun, setting the tone for another round of live entertainment.

Pretty Pretty Princess

Designed for mothers and daughters, this faith-focused gathering celebrates the belief that those who follow Jesus, as the King's daughters, are real princesses. Participants may wear a favorite dress, enjoy treats and princess-themed activities, and share meaningful moments together.

GriefShare

Grief Share is a 13-week group for anyone navigating the loss of a loved one. Each meeting explores what to expect in the coming days and what is common in the grieving process. Because grief does not move in neat, predictable stages, the program emphasizes practical ways to cope with its ups and downs while offering steady support at every step. Sessions take place at Parkway Victoria in Room 203.

SUNDAY FUNDAY: MENS & COED SOFTBALL ROUND ROBIN

This event features a men’s and coed softball round robin with an entry fee of $150 per team. The format offers multiple games against different opponents, delivering plenty of action and more opportunities to showcase skills on the field.

Hometown Harvest on Main

The seventh annual Hometown Harvest on Main sets a welcoming table along Main Street for 150 guests with a family style meal featuring Texas barbecue beef, asparagus crab almondine, fresh salads, bread and a dessert honoring the 250th celebration. Craft beer and wine are served. Under the Cuero Municipal Library Pavilion, food, flower and herb demonstrations take place while live music creates a lively backdrop. Local shops contribute door prizes, and proceeds benefit DeWitt 4-H, DeWitt County GO TEXAN and the Mayor's Youth Council. True Crime Book Club

Settle in for an evening of true crime conversation with the True Crime and Killers Book Club. The Library hosts this group each month in the Bronte Room. The April selection is Out of the Woods by Gregg Olsen, guiding the discussion.

Opening Reception: Lonesome Dove

The opening reception marks the launch of the Lonesome Dove Photography Exhibition, showcasing images captured by Bill Wittliff during the filming of the 1989 miniseries. The reception is come and go, and light refreshments will be available. Susannah Boyles, archivist at The Witliff Collections, will give a special presentation. Presented by Humanities Texas and The Witliff Collections. The opening is free to attend and welcomes the public, and regular museum admission applies for viewing the exhibition during its run.

VC Info Night

Victoria College presents an information night that offers a chance to explore options and move toward educational goals. Attendees can connect with representatives from more than twenty academic programs and student support services, receive guidance on admissions and financial aid, and learn about Health Careers and Industrial Trades through focused breakout sessions. The event takes place in the Student Success Center Event Hall and welcomes individuals at any stage, from early exploration to preparing an application.

Tuesday Pool Tournament

Jailbreak Bar hosts a weekly pool tournament for experienced competitors and casual players alike. The bracket is double elimination, and games are Straight 8 played under bar rules. The buy-in is $20. The atmosphere is family friendly, and food trucks are on site.

Baby Hour: Pages to Play

Designed for little ones up to 18 months old, this Victoria Public Library program nurtures early interest in reading with a shared storytime centered on babies.

Embracing Resilience: Survivors Speak Out

A common issue of being a sexual assault survivor is the feeling of isolation. This event was planned with the intent of allowing sexual assault survivors a platform to speak and assuage that feeling. It is difficult to confide in others without knowing who will believe you or support you.

Victoria College Student Recital

This recital presents music performed by students from the Victoria College Music Department. The program spans multiple styles and instruments, spotlighting the skills of student musicians. Each performance reflects the dedication and artistry they have cultivated through their work.

Sugar Rush Happy Hour

A casual gourmet dessert and coffee gathering offers early access to 1 to 3 new desserts and cheesecake flavors at special pricing, along with $2.50 drinks that are regularly priced between $4.50 and $6. The specialty drinks planned for the upcoming month are featured and available for $2.50, giving guests a first taste before they roll out. There is no monthly commitment. Guests can grab treats to go or settle in and connect with other sweets and coffee lovers in the community.

The Agave Collective Mixer - April 2026

This mixer takes place upstairs at La Cantina in downtown Victoria, with Issac and Shawn behind the bar pouring tequila flights and a lineup of six signature cocktails. The menu features La Mezcarita, Spicy Pineapple Mezcarita, Oaxacan Paloma, Agua del Desierto, Old Fashioned Oaxacan, and Reded-Eyed Oaxacan. Selections this month include G4 Reposado Tequila, Lost Lore Anejo Tequila, Ryno Extra Anejo Tequila, and 400 Conejos Espadin Anejo Mezcal.

Cowpoke Storytime: On the Farm

Mrs. Kasey leads a Cowpoke Storytime at the Schoolhouse focusing on favorite barnyard animals and how to feed and care for them. Derby to Remember; Make A Run for the Roses to Build Houses for Habitat

First Friday: Photography Print Swap

Spring Youth Art Show

The Victoria Art League’s annual Spring Youth Art Show highlights creative work by students from the Crossroads, with judging for first through third place ribbons, Best of Show at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, and a People’s Choice award. Fiesta Cinco de Mayo

Presented by Salazar Promotions, this day-long Fiesta Cinco De Mayo celebration fills DeLeon Plaza in Downtown Victoria with pro wrestling, vendor displays, and wide-ranging entertainment for different ages and interests. Children 12 and under receive free admission, and a small allotment of VIP tickets is available.

Derby Day Party 2026

The final Derby Day Party offers a festive farewell filled with the classic Derby spirit, extra prizes, and fresh surprises alongside the traditions people expect. Tickets can be obtained via a link in the comments or purchased at Twin Rivers.

Donny Edwards: Tribute to Elvis

Donny Edwards returns to Victoria College's Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts with a live tribute to Elvis. The performance highlights the music and showmanship that defined his legacy. Premium seating is $50 and standard seating is $40. Tickets are sold only through the Welder Center Box Office using Etix. Purchases from third parties may be invalid, overpriced, or ineligible for assistance if lost or stolen, and the Welder Center does not accept responsibility for tickets bought outside official channels.

"Shine the Light" on Mental Health & Suicide Walk & Resource Fair

Gulf Bend Center presents a community walk and resource fair at the Special Events Area at Riverside Park. The focus is on mental health and suicide awareness, offering information for individuals, families, and parents on a wide range of topics and community resources. Participants can explore services, learn about local support, and connect with others in a welcoming setting. This free event is open to the community, and organizations are invited to participate as exhibitors or sponsors.

2026 Spring Trash Off

A citywide Trash Off roadway cleanup in partnership with TxDOT's Adopt-a-Highway Program and the Trash Free Gulf Campaign brings volunteers together to clear litter throughout the city. Participants meet in the Target parking lot, split into teams, and head to designated cleanup locations. Volunteers may participate solo or with a group such as family, friends, coworkers, or service clubs. Groups of six or more will be assigned to a specific remote location. For safety, children must be 11 or older and accompanied by an adult at all times. Breakfast and drinks are provided for volunteers. Cornerstone partners supporting the effort include Armstrong Warehouse and Transfer, HEB, Waste Management, and Enterprise Mobility.

Pit Stop Road to Restoration

A community meetup celebrating cars, connection, and encouragement begins inside 205 Venue with a brief inspirational message, then continues with a relaxed car show, a light continental breakfast, and time to mingle. The gathering concludes with awards, door prizes for those in attendance, and a short sendoff. Attendees may bring a ride to display or simply enjoy the scene. All are welcome. Presented as a Jesus Alone community event.

1st Annual Cuero Car & Bike Show

Cuero Municipal Park hosts the first annual car and bike show in Cuero, featuring cars and bikes on display. Registration is available.

2026 Texas River Marathon

Paddlers take on a 35-mile river course from River Haven RV Resort to the Pump House Restaurant at Victoria City Park. This race sets starting positions for the Texas Water Safari, though it is not required to compete in the Safari. Online registration is required and each team must designate a team captain. The entry fee is $75 per paddler, and team captains do not pay an entry fee. A registration deadline applies. Teams must register a boat number and display it on the boat on race morning. T-shirts are guaranteed to teams and to one team captain per team. Course cutoffs apply at the Hwy 447 Nursery Bridge checkpoint, at the Victoria City Park boat ramp, and at the finish line. Missing the final cutoff will forfeit a previously earned Texas Water Safari starting position, although participation there is still allowed with placement moved to a back starting row. Team captains are required and cannot be shared between teams. As with all Texas Water Safari sponsored races, Safari rules and classes apply.

SPRING Children’s Consignment Event!

Enjoy a spring children’s consignment event at American Legion Hall. Organizers have confirmed the schedule and encourage saving the dates in Cuero, Texas. This seasonal gathering focuses on children’s consignment and offers a friendly setting to browse kid-focused finds.

Paint a Keepsake

A creative drop-in for children to decorate wooden flower bouquets or terra cotta pots is available at McCoy’s locations companywide. Participation is free, materials are provided until they run out, and no advance sign-up is required. This activity is presented with support from Doman Lumber.

Presence Over Pixels Game Day

This screen free family game day at Northgate Church of God focuses on powering down and connecting face to face. A wide selection of board and card games will be available for all ages, along with collaborative challenges and group activities that spark teamwork and laughter. The setting is a cozy indoor space designed for fun and relaxation. Food and drinks will be provided in limited supply, and the atmosphere is intended to be positive and inclusive for families of every background. Bringing a favorite game is welcome but not required. Parents, caregivers, and children of any age are encouraged to take part. Comfortable clothing is recommended, an optional board game can come along, and a readiness to unplug and have fun is all that is needed.

Spark Fine Arts Pre-School Ask & Learn

SPARK is an arts-integrated preschool for children ages 3 to 4 located at the Ballet Academy of South Texas. The ASK & LEARN session provides an opportunity to explore the program and talk with the staff. Enrollment for Fall 2026 is open.

Mommy & Me Tea Party

Hosted by Here’s The Scoop, this third annual mommy and me tea party features a tea service created in collaboration with Blume & Flour and will take place at Blume & Flour. Tickets are $25 per person for all ages and must be purchased in advance.

May 3rd Food Share

This food share at the Bus Stop by Dick’s offers a chance to eat together and contribute. Participants can bring food and items to give. Any donations not taken during the share will be placed in the Free Store. A menu will be shared when it is ready.

Springfest 2026

Springfest returns to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church as a community outreach tradition that began in 2008 and continued through 2015, then again from 2022 to 2025. This year’s gathering focuses on blessing the Victoria community, with proceeds supporting The Gabriel Project of the Crossroads, the Pregnancy Help Center of the Crossroads, Young Life-Victoria, and Our Saviour’s ministries. Attendees can enjoy plates of barbecue chicken or brisket served with potato salad and beans. The celebration features silent and live auctions, a cake wheel, the church’s country store, a ticket raffle, and a variety of games for children of all ages. Live music by Logan Gisler and the Well Diggers sets the tone for a lively day.

Rhythm, Ritual, and Reflection: Collaboration Concert

Crossroads Strings joins the Victoria Civic Chorus and the Victoria College Choir for a collaborative concert focused on rhythm, ritual, and reflection. The program travels from spirited, dance-shaped pieces to expressions of praise and quiet contemplation, revealing how music can frame human experience. Choir and orchestra unite to offer a vivid journey that moves through motion, devotion, and reflective calm.

Prenatal & Childbirth Classes at DeTar

Expectant parents can take part in a three-class prenatal and childbirth education series at DeTar Hospital North, held in DeTar North’s Garden Cafe. The program is designed for both first-time parents and those expanding their families, and it is led by an experienced healthcare team. Sessions explore changes in the third trimester, every stage of labor and delivery, comfort strategies such as breathing and relaxation, pain management options including medications and epidurals, common medical procedures, cesarean birth, creating a birth plan and making informed choices, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Participants can ask questions, connect with other expecting families, and receive practical guidance for late pregnancy, labor, and the early days after birth. Baby Hour: Pages to Play

Created for infants up to 18 months old, this Baby Hour program introduces little ones to books and stories. It is designed to spark early interest in reading. After the reading portion, there is an additional activity. Presented at Victoria Public Library.

Set off on an ocean themed creative activity by making a coral reef of your own. Experience an imaginative undersea theme while bringing your personal reef to life.

Bookish Society Monthly meetup

An author-focused book society that selects reading by mood, sometimes guided by the season and other times by curiosity. The format is flexible, and finishing the book is not required. It maintains a welcoming, come-as-you-are approach where any amount of reading is perfectly fine.

VCMGA Training Class

12th Urban Cowboy Beach Bash Trailride 2026

Saddle up for a multi-day equine beach ride at Magnolia Beach, open to horseback riders and horse-drawn wagons only. Participation is free, and camping on the sand is also free, with parking first come, first served on this public shoreline where space cannot be reserved. Riders may arrive early, outings are casual and flexible, and participants can ride with the group or on their own. The organizer plans to bring a wagon with lights for visibility during night rides. No motor vehicles or ATVs are allowed on the rides, and any wagons must be pulled by equine. UTVs may be allowed on select rides with prior approval from the organizer, but they are not permitted after dark or on night rides. All proceeds benefit the Magnolia Beach Volunteer Fire Department, continuing a long history of donations from previous years. A raffle featuring logo cups, and sometimes other items, will be drawn during the Sunday lunch stop, and winners must be present. Awards recognize top wagon, top cowboy, top cowgirl, the youngest and oldest riders, and the participant who traveled the farthest. Eligibility for top cowboy or top cowgirl requires participation in the Saturday morning and evening rides and the Sunday morning ride, and wagon awards require driving on those same three rides. Bonus points are given for dressing to match the Saturday day theme, the Saturday night theme, and Sunday’s red, white and blue. Plans are informal and subject to change. A relaxed marina hangout is anticipated on Thursday, followed by a night ride on Friday. Saturday features a daytime ride to the La Salle Monument and back, options to enjoy the beach or visit the local VFD barbecue fundraiser for lunch, a friendly mixology contest, beach games like water barrel racing, and a remembrance ceremony honoring the fallen. A night ride to the marina is planned afterward. Sunday brings a ride to Indianola Marina for lunch with awards, the raffle, and an auction. Dinner is on your own throughout, with a potluck option one evening. Themes include Go Green or Irish, Texas pride, red, white and blue, and an 80s night. Evening entertainment includes live music by Jimi Cochrance and possible karaoke, and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and coolers. There are no hookups or shade trees on the beach. Bring generators, water for your horses, and current Coggins. A water trough will be set near camp. Restrooms are available at the public picnic area, and tanks can be refilled at Saltwater Saloon or through a local contact. Pack in and pack out is required. Bring a scoop and bucket to clean manure and hay, and make sure all trash is removed from your campsite. No studs or unruly or green-broke horses, and no ponying for exposure. Portable toilets are not provided. LTC/CHL permit holders may not carry firearms during the rides and must keep them secured in trailers, with law enforcement exempt. Absolutely no drama. Beach rules apply. No glass containers, no ground fires unless they are contained in a fire pit, and no digging holes due to erosion concerns. Brackenridge Recreation Complex offers a season of outdoor learning and creative play based at the Texana Community Education Center and the Harry Hafernick Recreation Center in Brackenridge Park. Wilderness Camp for ages 9 to 12 is $100 per camper and builds confidence through kayaking, basic navigation, fishing, wildlife education, and shoreline exploration at Lake Texana while introducing local ecosystems, freshwater creatures, and essential outdoor skills. The auction takes place in a facility of more than 5,000 square feet and offers both an in-person sale and online bidding through Proxibid, connecting with buyers nationwide. High turnout and wide exposure are emphasized to help consignors achieve strong results.

2nd Annual BRC Youth Catfish Tournament!

Brackenridge Recreation Complex hosts a second annual youth catfish tournament designed for anglers ages 6 to 16. Competitors are grouped into two divisions, 6 to 10 and 11 to 16, and can enter categories that include a heaviest catfish jackpot, a smallest catfish jackpot, a heaviest three‑catfish stringer, and a fisherman’s choice award. Cash prizes are offered in every category, with 75 dollars for first place, 50 dollars for second, and 25 dollars for third. The fisherman’s choice category recognizes a single first place winner. The first 50 participants to register receive a bucket and a fishing towel, and door prizes will be awarded after the weigh‑in. Registration is available on site for cash. Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a hometown Fourth of July parade in Cuero. The procession lines up on W. North Railroad Street, then heads down Main Street and finishes at Cuero Municipal Park, where evening festivities continue. Expect a lively mix of entries, including floats, vehicles, golf carts, businesses, families, and friends, all decked out in red, white, and blue. Look for flags waving, beads flying, and plenty of patriotic spirit. Entries are announced along the route and are not judged, creating a relaxed, old-fashioned celebration filled with community pride and lots of stars and stripes.

America 250th 4th of July Car Show

Celebrate the nation’s 250th with a classic vehicle showcase that welcomes all classic vehicles. Participants may choose to take part in the parade and then park at the pavilion, or enter the car show through a designated gate and park in front of the pavilion. Awards will be presented for Best in Show, Veteran’s Choice, and Mayor’s Choice. For safety, the car show area will be blocked off. The City of Cuero and the Cuero Chamber are not responsible for damage or accidents. Vehicles may leave after the show or stay for fireworks. Registration is available online.
