The constant 72 degree water supports seven threatened or endangered species. All snorkeling gear is included, and knowledgeable guides provide support throughout. Summer Splashes at Rio Vista Pool offer once-a-month fun throughout the summer, each with its own theme and family-friendly activities. A warm, community-focused evening centers on connection, shared food, and gentle grounding. It starts with a casual potluck mixer where people can mingle, share simple bites, and enjoy meaningful conversation, then transitions into a guided meditation and sound bath featuring singing bowls and calming frequencies to encourage relaxation and a grounded state. Optional intuitive energy work is available during the meditation to support ease, integration, and presence. The potluck is informal and not a seated meal, with time spent standing and visiting, then plenty of room to sit or lie down comfortably for the meditation. Participants who wish to contribute food are invited to bring easy, finger-friendly items to share. The entry fee is $50, and there is a $10 office fee per family. A special event and a barrel race are planned afterward. The Long Run | Grit Lab Run Club

Grit Lab Run Club is launching monthly meetups centered on an intentional long run that emphasizes community and consistency. The first gathering begins and ends at Grit Lab Fitness and spans roughly 6 to 9 miles, with runners encouraged to build the distance that feels right. This is not a race and there is no pressure on pace. Helpful items include fuel and hydration, a running belt or vest, and even a partner or friend. Grit Run Club shirts are available for pre-order, and the spirit is all about good energy and strengthening the habit.

K9WW's All Country "Friendsgiving" Event with FINALS

K9 Waterworld hosts an all‑country Friendsgiving dock diving gathering that launches the North America Diving Dogs 2027 season and serves as the sixth and final sanctioned event at this facility for the year. Spectators and vendor browsing are free, and when time allows there will be chances to try the sport. Finals are included. Competitors can choose to pre‑pay after receiving an invoice sent following the closing date, which reserves a place in the running order, or pay on site. Cash, check and debit are preferred, and credit cards are accepted. According to the NADD rulebook, withdrawals are not permitted after the closing date, with details on withdrawals and no shows in Page 4, Section 4 of Entry Procedures. On‑site amenities include a temperature‑controlled training building available for crating at $10 per dog per day with space for up to 24 dogs, along with eight shaded 5x5 outdoor kennels with fans that are first come, first served. The grounds feature a large lighted parking area, grassy areas for tents, and a barn with a breezeway connecting two buildings for shade. If rain is in the forecast, parking on grass is not allowed. An off‑leash potty area is available for competitors, and professional photos of dogs in action can be purchased. Bleacher seating is wheelchair accessible. Check‑in takes place in the barn and participants should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled splash. 2026 Jr TX Water Safari

The Jr. Texas Water Safari is a shorter version of the Texas Water Safari with the same age requirements. Paddlers take on a 16-mile route from San Marcos City Park to the Staples Hwy 1977 bridge. Registration is available on race day only at San Marcos City Park, and the entry fee is $35 per paddler. A cut-off applies at the Hwy 1979 Martindale Bridge. Food and drinks will be available at the finish.

NXT N LINE - Diaper Dash Jackpot

At Seguin Events Complex, this Diaper Dash Jackpot celebrates two new additions to the NXT N LINE family with a race program that includes exhibitions and an 80 percent payout. Books open in advance of the race. Exhibitions are scheduled before the main competition, with the possibility of additional runs after the race if time permits. Entry fees are $50 for Open and $40 for Youth, exhibitions are $5, and there is a per family office fee of $10 or a pack of diapers.

The Guadalupe County Fair & PRCA Rodeo hosts the Scholarship 23rd Annual CBA BBQ Cook-off, marking the 143rd fair with a flavorful competition set on the asphalt parking lot. Teams fire up the pits for chicken, pork ribs, pork butt, brisket, and beans, with a Cook’s Choice round highlighting both savory creations and desserts before judging proceeds across the main categories. Payouts are available in all meat divisions for placements through fourth, with additional payouts for beans and for Cook’s Choice first and second. Grand and Reserve recognitions come with prizes. A Kids Cook division is part of the festivities, with entry handled through the cookoff registration form. A silent auction takes place during the event in support of the scholarship fund.
