Guided Kayak Tours

Glide across the crystal clear headwaters of the San Marcos River on a guided kayak outing at Spring Lake. With water holding steady at 72 degrees year round, this relaxed, low impact experience showcases a unique ecosystem and lively aquatic life, as well as a location recognized among the longest continuously inhabited places in North America. A knowledgeable guide introduces the lake’s natural history and habitat, then leads up to an hour on the water. All kayaking gear is provided by The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment. K9WW's All Country "Friendsgiving" Event with FINALS

K9 Waterworld hosts an all‑country Friendsgiving dock diving gathering that launches the North America Diving Dogs 2027 season and serves as the sixth and final sanctioned event at this facility for the year. Spectators and vendor browsing are free, and when time allows there will be chances to try the sport. Finals are included. Competitors can choose to pre‑pay after receiving an invoice sent following the closing date, which reserves a place in the running order, or pay on site. Cash, check and debit are preferred, and credit cards are accepted. According to the NADD rulebook, withdrawals are not permitted after the closing date, with details on withdrawals and no shows in Page 4, Section 4 of Entry Procedures. On‑site amenities include a temperature‑controlled training building available for crating at $10 per dog per day with space for up to 24 dogs, along with eight shaded 5x5 outdoor kennels with fans that are first come, first served. The grounds feature a large lighted parking area, grassy areas for tents, and a barn with a breezeway connecting two buildings for shade. If rain is in the forecast, parking on grass is not allowed. An off‑leash potty area is available for competitors, and professional photos of dogs in action can be purchased. Bleacher seating is wheelchair accessible. Check‑in takes place in the barn and participants should arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled splash. The Guadalupe County Fair & PRCA Rodeo hosts the Scholarship 23rd Annual CBA BBQ Cook-off, marking the 143rd fair with a flavorful competition set on the asphalt parking lot.
