Casual Commander
This casual Commander event features a distinctive rule set and community voting. Deck construction follows clear guidelines. Bracket 3 or less is required. Two card combos are not allowed. One three card combo is permitted, and any combo that uses four or more cards is allowed. Mass land destruction is prohibited. Only one tax spell may be included. Free spells and zero mana rocks are not allowed. After play, votes are cast for coolest, functional, and worst time, and prizes are awarded to the winners in each category at the end of the night.

This youth hunter education course takes place in a modern classroom at Republic Gun Club and covers essential safety knowledge for new hunters. The fee is $20 per student, paid directly to the instructor by Cash, Venmo, or PayPal. Do not submit payment through TPWD’s online registration, as the instructor will handle the remittance to TPWD on each student’s behalf. The class is geared toward ages 9 to 17, and adults may attend as well. The Beast of the Brazos celebrates its seventh anniversary in Waco, TX with an open-water swim offering 750 meter, 1.2 mile, and 2.4 mile routes. The two longer options match the full IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Waco swim courses, giving athletes a focused open-water experience. Registered participants receive a swim cap, a dri-fit shirt, and a finisher’s medal. Special anniversary highlights and updates will be shared on social at @wacosports. Wetsuit status is used only to determine eligibility for top three tiered age group awards for men and women. Athletes who registered for the wetsuit category may switch to non-wetsuit on race morning without penalty by notifying organizers, though they will not be eligible for top three tiered age group awards. For safety, the course will be shortened if the water temperature rises above 90 degrees. Proceeds benefit The Greater Waco Sports Commission, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports opportunities for sport and exercise for residents of Waco and McLennan County.
