Live music in Logan, UT

A welcoming drum circle for all ages led by local music therapist Tessa Buck. This free program takes place in the Logan Library Community Rooms and offers a relaxed way to connect with others, ease stress, and enjoy making music together. No experience is necessary and all skill levels are welcome. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. A variety of drums and small hand percussion will be available to use, or bring your own if you prefer. Registration is required and spots are limited, so register only if you plan to attend and cancel through your confirmation email if your plans change to make room for someone else.

A cinematic journey beneath the waves unfolds with narration by David Attenborough and a score by Steven Price, performed live by Cache Symphony Orchestra in precise sync with the imagery on screen. The film traces the era of ocean discovery that has coincided with Attenborough’s lifetime and visits coral reefs, kelp forests, and the open ocean to show why a healthy sea keeps the planet stable and flourishing. Vivid, immersive cinematography captures extraordinary marine life and also confronts urgent challenges, including destructive fishing techniques and mass coral reef bleaching. The tone remains hopeful, sharing inspiring stories from around the world and highlighting a central message that the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen. Music @ The Collective is a free monthly celebration of local creativity and community that coincides with the Art Stroll and select special events. Each gathering offers live music, interactive art demonstrations, and a welcoming setting for everyone. This installment spotlights the Blue Sage Band. Founded by banjoist Mike Iverson with fiddler Ryan Shupe, Blue Sage evolved from a duo into larger ensembles while blending western, folk, and bluegrass influences. The group’s sound moved toward new-grass and bluegrass with clawhammer banjo at the forefront, and over the years has included contributions from musicians such as Rob Ricks, Heather Iverson, Matt Flinner, Ken Sager, Jake Workman, and vocalist-guitarist Shaundra Cragun. The band continues to perform, and former members sometimes appear at special events. Start times vary by event. At the Val A. Browning Center’s Austad Auditorium, this orchestral program pairs the lyrical world of Chopin with the culminating force of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. The WSSO performs with Dr. Fantee Jones at the piano under the direction of Dr. Francisco de Galvez, shaping a path from intimate Romantic expression to expansive symphonic scale.
