    A welcoming circle of musicians meets in The Shop at Queen City Music Studios for a recurring Old Time jam session that is open to both players and listeners. It is a free community music gathering run by volunteers, including staff, family, and friends. While there is no admission, optional donations on a sliding scale of 10 to 20 dollars are appreciated and directly support the studio’s mission of making music makers. Queen City Music Studios blends a school, a shop, and special events. The organization features a retail music store, community gatherings, workshops, rehearsal space, house concerts, and a music school with lessons and group classes for all ages, styles, and skill levels. Founded by Molly Rose Murphy in 2015 as a learn-by-ear alternative, it has grown to offer booking, event management, and production services, supported by a team of more than twenty professional musicians and instructors. The shop provides new and used instruments, accessories, and repairs, and Molly’s Musikgarten offers early development family music classes.
