Béla Fleck returns to his bluegrass roots with My Bluegrass Heart, a concert centered on his Grammy winning album that serves as the third part of a trilogy begun with Drive and continued with The Bluegrass Sessions. The band features a multigenerational roster of award recognized players, including fiddler Michael Cleveland, mandolinist Dominick Leslie, Jeff Partin on dobro, bassist and multi-instrumentalist Mark Schatz, and guitarist Jake Stargel. Over the past four decades, Fleck has taken the banjo into an array of musical territories and has earned 19 Grammy Awards spanning country, pop, jazz, classical, instrumental, and world music. His work includes more than three decades leading Béla Fleck and The Flecktones, composing multiple banjo concertos for full orchestra, and exploring the instrument’s African roots in the documentary Throw Down Your Heart.
