Downtown Sounds returns to Historic Market Square with a new season of live music. Formerly known as Sounds of Summer, this long-running community concert series has brought people together for over a decade. This year spotlights Fredericksburg’s local music scene, with hometown bands performing throughout the season. Guests can bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music and community spirit in an outdoor setting.

Enjoy a shrimp feast accompanied by live bluegrass in support of the Patawomeck Tribe. A bluegrass performance will take the stage during the event to keep the music going while the feast is underway.

A free, family friendly Latin Night at Highmark Brewery features DJ Elle Jay. The evening celebrates the start of fall with lively Latin music and a welcoming atmosphere. It begins with a line dance class that introduces a new Latin line dance and also reviews favorite steps, then continues with open dancing. Food and beverages are available for purchase from the brewery along with options from a local food truck.
