Wyewood Champions 2026 - Barony of Wyewood

    Associated Energy Systems, 8621 S 180th St, Kent · verified Aug 16
    See details

Wyewood Champions offers a full day of martial pursuits hosted by the Barony of Wyewood. The lineup features heavy combat, archery, rapier, and thrown weapons, with a lunch option that highlights fried chicken. Site fees are $25 for adult non-members, ages 17 and under are free, and members receive a $10 discount. Lunch is available for $10 per person. The menu includes fried chicken that is gluten free, soy free, dairy free, peanut free, and pork free, mashed potatoes that contain dairy, a Caesar salad with dressing that may include fish, dairy, eggs, and soy, and rolls that contain wheat and dairy. Those competing for baronial championships must be authorized in their discipline, be current SCA members during the tournament and their tenure, be willing to swear an oath of service or fealty to the Barony of Wyewood, and not hold the same championship for another branch unless they are within 60 days of retiring from that role. Champions may wear appropriate baronial regalia, sit at High Table at Wyewood feasts, advise the Baronial Coronet on matters of peace and war, provide ceremonial support during processions and court, attend baronial events, promote their activity within the branch and beyond, defend the branch in their field, assist with coordinating the tournament to choose a successor, attend that tournament and the successor’s investiture, and care for and return the regalia to be passed on. This event is organized by the Barony of Wyewood, a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., and is considered the group’s official presence. If differences arise between electronic information and the printed version from the originating office, the printed version prevails. Participants are expected to uphold the SCA Core Value, act with courtesy, honor, chivalry, and respect, comply with SCA policy and modern law, and observe the Society’s prohibition on harassment, bullying, and hate speech. In-person participation carries inherent health risks, including potential exposure to infectious diseases, and individuals agree to take any additional precautions they deem necessary for themselves and those in their care.
