A beer and wine garden features wines from Eleven Winery and beer from Rainy Daze Brewery. Juicy J’s food truck sets up near a picnic area. Activities include games for kids and adults, free sanctuary tours, and a new sensory corner for relaxation. Every ticket contributes to food, shelter, veterinary care, and lifelong sanctuary. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children 13 and under, with ages 3 and under admitted free. Military discounts are available, and scholarships are offered for families using free or reduced-price school lunch programs. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the front gate. Join IslandWood for a hands-on naturalist program focused on wetland ecology. You’ll explore Mac’s Pond and use nets to dip into the freshwater ecosystem, then identify and classify macroinvertebrates and other species. The program also includes time to walk to a nearby sphagnum bog, where you can observe wetland habitat differences and spot carnivorous plants during this season. Along the way, you’ll practice ecological “look fors” to think about how healthy wetlands support the many species that depend on them. Come with curiosity and questions, and leave with a deeper understanding of how these habitats thrive.

A relaxed picnic at Overlook Park welcomes anyone who feels they are past the midpoint of life to spend time together in a friendly setting. Sandwiches and refreshments are provided, and participants can bring a salad or dessert to share. There is no cost to attend, and family and friends are welcome.

Connect with fellow Pokémon fans at a friendly League gathering that welcomes Trading Card Game and video game players of any experience level. Bring your own cards and Pokémon games to play casual matches, trade with others, and earn prizes as you participate. When a League Challenge, League Cup, or Prerelease takes place on the same day, the regular League still runs, though the spotlight shifts to the featured event. Players are welcome to enjoy the free League activities and can still work toward receiving a league pack.

Kitsap Beach Naturalists host a free summer beach exploration that highlights the wildlife living along the shore and the importance of clean, protected water in the local community. Participants are encouraged to bring curiosity and learn alongside naturalists while discovering who depends on healthy nearshore habitats. Prepare for rocky footing with closed-toe shoes, bring protection from the sun, and carry water for warm weather. The park is small and easy to miss, parking is limited, and ride sharing is recommended. Angle your vehicle when parking, pulling in forward or backing in as space allows. Young artists in kindergarten through fifth grade can spend four creative days making art inspired by baby animals, from kittens and puppies to bear cubs. Participants will explore a range of media including chalk, markers, watercolor, paint, and more. No prior experience is needed and all art supplies are provided. A snack is included each day. Please send a packed lunch, a water bottle, clothing that can get messy, and sunscreen for outdoor breaks. Advance registration is required, the camp runs with a minimum of six participants, and registration closes seven days before the start date. The fee is $330. The curriculum is the same as the Week 5 camp.

Campers ages 5 to 11 will dive into STEAM with two robotics-focused adventures. In Carnival Creators Robotics, kids design and build their own carnival rides and midway games, using beginner robotics and coding so their creations can move. Then, in Escape Snapology, they’ll work as teams on a fast-paced, escape-room-style challenge with clues, puzzles, and mechanical contraptions, using math, logic, and critical thinking to solve their way to the “escape.”

Pleasant Beach Village hosts a summertime music series showcasing the Tracie Marsh Band. The music blends jazz, pop, soul, and original songs, with the setup in front of Island Cool Froyo next to the mouse fountain. Attendees can relax with wine, food, and frozen yogurt as the band plays. Now in its tenth year, the series is free and open to all ages. If it rains, the performance moves to the marketplace.
