Build confidence with MIG welding in a hands-on, project-focused session that runs for three hours in the evening. The class is led by certified welder and fabricator Daniel Schepers of Elite Welding and Design, a veteran family owned, W.A.B.O certified company with more than a decade of welding and fabrication experience. You will practice proper joint techniques along with grinding and finishing as you create a take-home piece. Project choices include a rocket stove, lantern, geometric bowl, wine rack, or a dice. Instruction covers safe operation of a MIG welder and provides practical shop time to complete your own welded steel project, and all materials are included for one rocket stove, lantern, or dice. Lacey MakerSpace members can use this course to meet the proficiency requirement for independent use of the MIG welder, and completing this or other Basics classes fulfills that standard. Please select the ticket option that matches the project you plan to make so the correct materials are prepared for you.
