    Skagit County Clothing Swap

Skagit County Fairgrounds, North Entrance, 1410 Virginia St, Mt Vernon, WA 98273-4849, United States, Mt Vernon · verified Sep 27
    Free

Skagit County Solid Waste Division is hosting a free seasonal clothing swap focused on cutting textile waste and supporting sustainable fashion. Textiles are among the fastest growing waste streams in Washington, with more than 400 million pounds landfilled each year, and swapping keeps wearable items in circulation while conserving resources. Bring clean, gently used clothing you are ready to pass along and browse for pieces that feel new to you. It is a budget friendly way to refresh a wardrobe, connect with neighbors, and give garments a second life. The swap takes place at the Skagit County Fairgrounds, North Entrance, Building A/B, with free admission for Skagit County residents. A donation is not required to participate. Clothing will be accepted on site, and there is also an advance drop off opportunity at the Skagit County Transfer Station, Recycling Area. Sizes for everyone are welcome, including children. Please limit contributions to two large bags per person, skip items that are stained or damaged, and do not bring underwear or socks. Contribute as you can and select what you need so the experience stays clean, respectful, and fun for everyone.
