Live music in Mt. Vernon, WA

The Anacortes Music & Dance Festival at Rhythm Studio is a three-day event focused on line dancing and social dancing, with time to enjoy the music and get on the dance floor together. It runs over the Aug. 7 to Aug. 9 weekend.

Minimum Wage Band brings a genre-spanning show to the Skagit County Fair main stage at Skagit County Fairgrounds, inviting the crowd into a rich blend of feeling and sound. The performance leans into nostalgia while keeping the energy high, with plenty of moments for dancing and singing. It is crafted to captivate dedicated music fans as well as anyone simply looking to be swept up in a unique live experience.

Honoring 15 years of Joe Day’s album Grace, this celebration revisits the songs and the community that shaped an era in Mount Vernon, Seattle, and beyond. The music returns to Communion Church, remembered by many as The Gathering, the place where these songs first took shape. The lineup of longtime collaborators begins with a set from John Van Deusen, continues with Micah Kelley performing material from that period, and culminates with Joe Day alongside the original Mindhead lineup of Seth Fikkert, Jeff Morrow, and Jono Orange, joined by Audrey Stout and Craig and Jackie Marais.

Summer nights along the riverfront in Historic Downtown Mount Vernon bring easygoing gatherings of lawn chairs, picnics, and live music as the Skagit River glows at sunset. Baby Cakes delivers a spirited journey through classic soul, funk, and R&B, layering smooth three-part vocals over bright horns and a tight, dance-ready rhythm section. This performance is part of the 2026 Riverwalk Concert Series, supported by Dwayne Lane's Skagit Subaru.

The Riverwalk Summer Concert Series is back for a two-hour, family-friendly live music night featuring Baby Cakes. Bring lawn chairs and picnic gear and enjoy an informal evening along the riverfront on the Skagit Riverwalk Plaza. The concert runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and it’s part of the weekly Thursday night lineup in July and August.
