Enjoy live music at the Park at Bothell Landing as Bothell’s Music in the Park series brings an opening performance from Lucia Flores-Wiseman followed by Heart By Heart with Steve Fossen and Michael Derosier. The original Heart rhythm section revives the band’s 1970s and 1980s sound with Somar Macek, Lizzy Daymont, and Chad Quist, delivering a mix of classic hits and deep cuts. Free outdoor movies return to Seattle Center this summer with Movies at the Mural, presented by Prime Video. Bring a picnic and relax on the gently sloped Mural Amphitheatre lawn with the Space Needle overhead while a state-of-the-art 40-foot screen sets the scene for an all-ages lineup of classic and contemporary favorites. This screening features Hamilton, rated PG-13, with a runtime of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The musical recounts the life of Alexander Hamilton through a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and show tunes. Captured at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June 2016, the film invites viewers into the world of the stage production with an intimate perspective. Each movie begins with a short film created by alumni of the University of Washington Department of Film & Video Production and students from Cornish College of the Arts and Seattle University. Specific short film selections will be announced. Movies at the Mural is supported by partners Ticketmaster and T-Mobile.

Back in Skyway Park, NIA Fest brings a free, community-focused celebration of music, culture, and connection. Learn about the critters that share local shores and discover what relies on clean, protected water in your neighborhood. Wear close-toed shoes for rocky beaches, bring sun protection, and carry water for warm weather. Meet on the pier, with street parking available. WSU Extension programs are available to all without discrimination, and evidence of noncompliance may be reported through your local WSU Extension office. This family-friendly program welcomes all ages for a relaxed open-house of creative building. Stay for the whole time or drop in briefly to experiment, collaborate, and construct. Bricks are provided, and participants bring the imagination while they build together in an unstructured setting.

Hands-On Clay Camp welcomes young artists ages 8 to 13 who enjoy shaping ideas in three dimensions. This summer program centers on understanding clay from first touch to final finish, guiding campers as they create completed ceramic works. Participants explore techniques such as slab and coil construction, sculpting, secure joining, and adding texture, and they may also try the wheel to form simple bowls. The pace is thoughtful, encouraging planning, patience, structural thinking, and problem solving while students consider form, balance, and craftsmanship. Projects can range from imaginative sculptures and vessels to functional pieces like bowls, cups, and small containers, along with surface decoration through carving, pattern, and texture, plus optional underglaze color to enrich the results. The camp is process focused and intentionally kept small to allow individualized instruction, specialized materials, and kiln time. All materials and firings are included, and campers should wear clothes that can get messy. Optional early drop off and late pick up are available. Tuition is $285 for a half day and $515 for a full day. Space is limited and sessions often fill quickly.

New Skater Summer Camp is designed for beginners to build skating skills. Registration is open. The program costs $425 per skater and includes two snacks each day. Participants should pack their own lunch and bring a reusable water bottle filled at the start of the day. Financial aid is available through the registration form. Campers must wear full safety gear whenever they are on skates. Quad skates are required, not inline skates. A properly fitted helmet suitable for roller or multi-sport use, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and a mouth guard are all needed, and many skaters prefer remoldable options from SISU. For equipment, Get Your Bearings Skate Shop can help with proper fit and may have reduced-cost used skates on consignment. A summer day camp for kids offers a fun, welcoming way to spend the day. Spanning nine weeks, this program gives families a simple option when they want their children to enjoy their summer.

This session is for children ages 2 to 3 with an accompanying adult. Toddlers can join in with interactive rhymes, lively songs, and brief stories crafted for little ones on the move.

Children and teens ages 1 through 18 can enjoy a free lunch while staying engaged with summer reading. Meals are provided for on site dining only. Registration is not required, but seating is limited. Offered in partnership with the Hunger Intervention Program.

A friendly NCCP community meet-up welcomes current families, friends from previous years, and new faces. Participants are encouraged to wear NCCP shirts to show school pride. Attendance is open to everyone, including those not enrolled in classes, and friends are welcome. It offers a warm setting to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new people. Anyone curious about the school can use this gathering to get to know families the school has served over the years.

Bee Cool Tuesdays brings family-friendly fun to the Fountain Court at Kirkland Urban. The Busy Bee Hive Activity Cart features a rotating assortment of water play, sidewalk chalk art, hula hoops, hopscotch, jump ropes, and other simple games that inspire creativity and movement. Visitors can pause for a quick splash or linger to enjoy a relaxed summer atmosphere in the middle of Kirkland Urban. No registration is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the property.

Part of the Kirkland Downtown Association Summer Concert Series, this family friendly performance at Juanita Beach Park brings lively steel drum music that gets everyone moving. Kids of all ages can clap, dance, and stomp along while learning about other cultures. A returning guest to Kirkland leads the fun with upbeat rhythms for the whole family.

Volunteers support students as they practice reading aloud. Each volunteer works with two students who are paired by reading level. The book selection is geared toward readers in grades K-8 and English language learners in grades K-12. Reading Buddies pick a title from a cart of options or share eBooks on an iPad. Participants add their name to a sign-up sheet to reserve a 30-minute spot that fits their reading level.

Village Fun Days returns for summer with themed activities on the green near Cinemark. This edition highlights Spy School Detective Academy. The series also features Passport to Soccer Fun, Adventure Behind the Toybox, Dino Dig & Discovery, Mini Makers Workshop, Web Slinging Adventure Day, and a Pirate Treasure Hunt. After the fun, visitors can enjoy Joe’s Burgers and stop by Snapdoodle Toys for playful finds.

The Bellevue Farmers Market returns with sponsorship from Primrose School of West Bellevue, featuring produce grown in Washington, offerings from local food producers and artisans, and live music in a welcoming community setting. The market also includes produce-themed fun and dedicated activities for children at the Primrose School of West Bellevue booth.

Pie in the Park brings the community together for an annual fundraiser at Village Green Community Park. Children can take part in pie eating contests, face painting, and lawn games, and everyone can enjoy complimentary slices of pie. The event is organized by the Village Green Foundation, a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports improvements to help keep Village Green affordable and vibrant.

Parking at the park requires a Discover Pass, and an automated pay station on site allows purchase of daily or annual passes. Ten ADA parking spaces are available close to the concert area, with additional accessible parking throughout the park. A free ADA-accessible shuttle runs between Kenmore Park & Ride and Saint Edward State Park on concert nights, with return service after the performance. Shuttle schedules may vary slightly due to traffic.

A summer pinball series unfolds across two Alki arcades, Gary’s Place and West Seattle Arcade, with head-to-head matches where players choose machines at either location and stroll between the rooms to play. Each night features up to five rounds with two games per round, awarding 1 point for a single-game win and 3 points for a sweep. Extra balls are limited to 30 seconds. You cannot select the same machine more than once in a night, and you cannot choose a game that is already in use. The top three finishers receive payouts at the end of the night. Entry is $5 and all ages are welcome, with check-in at Gary’s Place. Points accumulate across the summer, and only your best five nights count toward the standings, so missing a week does not set you back. The top half of the leaderboard advances to the Series Finals, and the finals prize pool increases by $5 per participant each night. New players can jump in at any point since only the strongest results are tallied.
