πŸ€ NW MAGIC SUMMER DEVELOPMENT SERIES – WEDNESDAY TRAINING πŸ€

At First Creek Middle School Library, this Summer Development Series offers focused basketball sessions designed to build confidence, refine skills, and form habits that carry into real game situations. Options for grades 4 through 6 include Knight Vision skill development with Coach Knight, attack moves with Coach Ace, and a fundamentals and complete skills session with Coach Le’Asia. Athletes in grades 7 through high school can work on elite attack moves with Coach Ace, and post players in grades 4 through high school can develop their inside game in the Elite Big Lab with Coach Gena. The emphasis is on purposeful offense, post play, core fundamentals, and steady confidence so consistent effort turns into measurable growth. The aim is to grow complete players and confident leaders through structured training.

Workshops & Classes

Open Shop Hours

Work on your own woodworking projects in a supportive shop setting with guidance from experienced professionals. Every participant completes a safety orientation before being cleared to use tools, and the process can take longer when attendance is high. If you would like to move through tool trainings more quickly, private lessons can be arranged. Bring your own wood and hardware, while small consumables like sandpaper and glue are available on site. Storage between sessions is not provided unless arranged in advance, so plan to take your project home after each visit. Registration is required in advance, and sessions may end early if no one has signed up, so please register ahead of time. The environment is geared toward intermediate to advanced woodworkers, though beginners are welcome and should expect additional training and power tool supervision. This is not a formal class, so participants should be ready to work independently. Open to ages 16 and up, with an accompanying adult required for anyone under 18. Sessions are led by Boat Shop Manager Cori Shooter and a team of dedicated volunteers at Foss Waterway Seaport.
