Sunday Open Skate
Enjoy a welcoming open skate session for all ages and skill levels. Come with friends and family or roll solo while lively music fills one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest flat floors. It is a friendly space to build confidence, practice techniques, or simply spend time together on wheels. Skate rentals for youth and adults are $5. Admission is $10 plus fees. A TAL Skate Membership is available and grants access to every skating session for the year.
Tacoma ArmoryCrochet 101: Granny Square Class
Learn the essentials of crochet in a friendly, in-store class taught by A&C's Leif Saunders. Using worsted weight yarn, beginners practice single and double crochet stitches while creating a classic granny square to take home, a versatile start for blankets, bags, sweaters, and more. Please bring one skein of worsted weight cotton or acrylic yarn, a size H/5 mm crochet hook, a pair of scissors, and a yarn needle if desired. The class fee is $25, and enrollment is limited. Register by emailing kryptikfinds@gmail.com. A confirmation message will be sent once registration and payment are processed, and the instructor can provide CashApp and other payment details by email. Participants age 8 and up are welcome with an adult. The session takes place in the upstairs classroom with no elevator access. Parking and seating are limited.
