Gesa Power House Theatre presents a screening of Hook as part of a four-week, family-friendly throwback film series that welcomes moviegoers of all ages. Each installment offers a nostalgic afternoon of film, friends, and fun. The Little Watts series is supported by Coldwell Banker Walla Walla, with additional sponsorship from Katherine Nordal and Elaine Eaker that helps welcome participants from the local Camp Fire Walla Walla day camp and YMCA programming. In this adventure, Peter Pan, played by Robin Williams, has grown into a driven mergers and acquisitions lawyer and is married to Wendy’s granddaughter, Moira, portrayed by Caroline Goodall. When Captain Hook, portrayed by Dustin Hoffman, kidnaps their children, Jack and Maggie, played by Charlie Korsmo and Amber Scott, Peter returns to Neverland with Tinker Bell, played by Julia Roberts. With the help of Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys, he must remember how to be Peter Pan again to save his children by facing Hook once more.

Pick up the New York Times bestselling book from the library, then settle in for a movie presented by City of Walla Walla Parks & Recreation. Bring your own snacks, blankets, and chairs for a comfortable viewing experience. The screening begins at dusk. If weather becomes disruptive, the movie will be shown indoors at the Veterans Memorial Golf Course Clubhouse.

Heritage Square hosts two free concerts featuring The Travelers and the Wade Aylett Band. Attendees can bring a chair or blanket, step onto the dance floor, and explore downtown restaurants and shops before, during, or between performances. The Travelers, an indie folk rock trio, present original songs shaped by journeys from the Himalayas to remote Caribbean islands, blending distinctive rhythms and refined melodies inspired by faraway places with roots in American music. Their music shares stories about the quest to understand love and relationships, drawing on travels across the globe and reflections of the heart.

Step into the past with a Living History presentation about Matilda Sager Delaney, a Whitman Mission survivor. Born in 1839, Matilda was an orphaned child when the Whitman Mission at Waiilatput was taken over in 1846 during a violent attack tied to a measles outbreak. Learn what she witnessed that day, how she was held as a hostage and later ransomed, and how she returned years afterward to help honor the event. Susan Matley will portray Matilda during the presentation.

Designed for children ages 0 to 3 and their caregivers, this Baby Story Time features songs, fingerplays, and stories at the library's temporary location.

Enjoy games of Mexican bingo every Monday night. Participation is free and the event welcomes all ages. Latin music will be playing, and there will be specials on drinks. Friends and family are encouraged to come along.

Join author I.M. Ramsey at the library’s temporary location for a storytime featuring her Three Scampering Squirrels. The program focuses on good sportsmanship and resilience, and includes role-play activities where children can practice being good sports. Author Ramsey will be joined by the “squirrels” themselves for the fun.

This family-friendly library program brings story time onto the Valley Transit Trolley, with stories read by guest readers from Valley Transit staff and board. After the stories, activities and games take place in the Valley Transit Transfer Center Plaza. It is part of a Thursday summer series.

Work on your own sewing projects with help from volunteers. Sewing machines, thread, and fabric will be available for use. Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult helper who is at least 16 years old.
