Heritage Square hosts two free concerts featuring The Travelers and the Wade Aylett Band. Attendees can bring a chair or blanket, step onto the dance floor, and explore downtown restaurants and shops before, during, or between performances. The Travelers, an indie folk rock trio, present original songs shaped by journeys from the Himalayas to remote Caribbean islands, blending distinctive rhythms and refined melodies inspired by faraway places with roots in American music. Their music shares stories about the quest to understand love and relationships, drawing on travels across the globe and reflections of the heart.

The Wade Aylett Band began as friends singing and playing guitar around a campfire in 2018, later heading into the studio and performing at festivals while keeping their campfire roots at the heart of their songwriting and shows.

It also explains state laws and the application requirements for permits in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and Utah. Step into the past with a Living History presentation about Matilda Sager Delaney, a Whitman Mission survivor. Born in 1839, Matilda was an orphaned child when the Whitman Mission at Waiilatput was taken over in 1846 during a violent attack tied to a measles outbreak. Learn what she witnessed that day, how she was held as a hostage and later ransomed, and how she returned years afterward to help honor the event. Susan Matley will portray Matilda during the presentation.

Experience a calming restorative yoga session at Walla Walla Senior Center with an emphasis on breathwork, gentle stretching, and balance. Bring a yoga mat for your practice. Everyone in the community is welcome at no cost.

Designed for children ages 0 to 3 and their caregivers, this Baby Story Time features songs, fingerplays, and stories at the library's temporary location.

Explore a gentle, restorative practice in this new Tai Chi class led by instructors Tom Fletcher and Barbara LaRowe on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Rooted in centuries of Chinese martial arts tradition, Tai Chi emphasizes smooth, continuous movement paired with calm breathing to encourage relaxation. The practice engages large stabilizing muscles to build balance, coordination, and flexibility, while mindful focus can ease stress, support better sleep, and help protect memory. Tom and Barbara are certified in ten Tai Chi forms and bring 17 years of teaching and practice. They will guide participants through their Tai Chi journey. This free class welcomes the community, with four sessions offered each week. On the second Thursday of the month, sessions begin 30 minutes earlier due to room scheduling.

Join author I.M. Ramsey at the library’s temporary location for a storytime featuring her Three Scampering Squirrels. The program focuses on good sportsmanship and resilience, and includes role-play activities where children can practice being good sports. Author Ramsey will be joined by the “squirrels” themselves for the fun.

This family-friendly library program brings story time onto the Valley Transit Trolley, with stories read by guest readers from Valley Transit staff and board. After the stories, activities and games take place in the Valley Transit Transfer Center Plaza. It is part of a Thursday summer series.

Work on your own sewing projects with help from volunteers. Sewing machines, thread, and fabric will be available for use. Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult helper who is at least 16 years old.

Sip & Stroll offers an easygoing evening of shopping, sipping, and exploring downtown Walla Walla. A ticket includes tastes at six different wineries, and tasting fees are waived for the night. Tickets are available online in advance and can be picked up at check-in at Heritage Square. If online sales have closed, on-site ticket purchases are available at Heritage Square.

Sip & Stroll is a fun downtown evening where you can try wineries across Walla Walla with the tasting fee waived. With a ticket, you can sample six different participating tasting rooms and enjoy additional specials from select restaurants and retail shops. Tickets are available online until 4:00 PM on the day of the event, and after that you can still buy tickets at Heritage Square starting at 5:00 PM.

Gård Walla Walla hosts live music from Gary and Erika Winston, a duo pairing blues artist Gary Winston with vocalist Erika Winston. Enjoy the performance with a glass of wine or a beer as they deliver an upbeat set that encourages dancing and singalongs. All ages are welcome, and there is no cover.
