W9 Explorers is a day camp for 1st through 3rd graders focused on learning the basics of exploring the wilderness and simple survival skills. Campers take part in games, “creature features,” and hands-on projects while learning what to look for during walks, including plants, wildlife, and safety topics.

Spend a relaxing evening learning how to paint and create adorable baby animals in this teen and adult art camp. You’ll work on a baby bear painting, focusing on fur texture, shading and highlights, and layering techniques, plus you’ll add a woodland background. There’s also a bonus clay project where you’ll sculpt oven-bake baby animals, learning basic forms, texture, facial expressions, and clay finishing techniques. All projects are designed as a fun, hands-on way to pick up real art skills while making take-home creations.

Join a baby animal themed art camp in Selah where kids ages 6 to 12 will paint playful pictures inspired by Baby Bear, Baby Tiger, Baby Elephant, and Baby Raccoon. The camp runs daily with sessions from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. There are also special evening painting workshops for teens and adults, including a Baby Bear workshop on Monday evening and a Baby Raccoon workshop on Thursday evening.

Mega Sports Camp offers a free sports camp at Franklin Park for children ages 5 to 11. Participants receive snacks and a free T-shirt. Registration is open online and will close once full capacity is reached.

Bring your 6 to 12 year old for Baby Animal Art Camp focused on baby elephants. Camp runs from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and includes an acrylic painting project for the day plus a hands-on bonus activity. For Tuesday’s elephant theme, kids will paint a baby elephant and work on skills like color mixing, smooth blends, and basic shading and highlights. They’ll also do a watercolor safari-themed workshop featuring wet-on-wet techniques, layering, and color mixing. Kids get to take home both the baby elephant painting and the watercolor artwork.

Bring your creativity to Baby Hippo Day at Happily Painted Studio, a kid-only art camp for ages 6 to 12. This day focuses on acrylic painting a baby hippo, learning how to paint water and reflections, mix purple and gray tones, and add highlights and shadows for dimension. Kids will also make a Hippo Splash Slime Lab, creating blue glitter slime with pond-themed mix-ins and animal charms to decorate. Your day includes take-home items like the baby hippo painting and custom slime.

Join Happily Painted Studio for a kid-only art camp day focused on a baby raccoon. Kids ages 6 to 12 will do an acrylic painting project featuring a baby raccoon, learning techniques for fur texture, contrast with lights and darks, expressive eyes, and fine brush control. They’ll also build a baby animal diorama to complete a woodland home for their raccoon. Students will take home both the baby raccoon painting and their finished diorama.

A monthly gathering on the second Thursday at Wellness House brings together people managing type 1 or type 2 diabetes, those with prediabetes, and the caregivers and supporters who stand beside them. The session starts with a welcoming, peer-led conversation that may include brief educational insights from 509 Nutrition & Diabetes Care, then shifts into gentle movement designed with diabetes safety in mind. Expect low impact options such as seated exercises, balance practice, and light strength work, with adaptations available for every level of mobility. There is no cost to participate, and donations are appreciated in partnership with 509 Nutrition & Diabetes Care. Get ready for a fun live music night featuring Tony Smiley, an award-winning loop artist and one-man band, with Payton Drury joining in to help get the party started. The show runs for about four hours at The Outskirts Brewing Co.

On the oddball side, Clownvis Presley delivers a clown Elvis twist. Yakima’s own Cockaphonics kick off the night with chaotic energy.
