Beekeeper and candle artist Julie leads a hands-on workshop inspired by the garden, sharing the craft behind her fruit and vegetable candle designs. Participants will work with pure beeswax tinted with vegetable-based colorants and finished with eco-friendly hemp wicks while learning how to melt wax properly, make a wick, set up a mold, and pour an organic, nontoxic candle. This community open play night blends friendly competition with giving in a summer series that spans three dates and supports three local charities. Admission is $20 for a single night or $60 for access to all three. Half of all ticket sales go into a prize pool, and each purchase includes votes to direct funds to a favorite cause, with one vote per $20 ticket and four votes with the $60 pass. The featured organizations are 815 Stone Scrubbers, 205DDS, and the Greg Lindmark Foundation. Half of all ticket sales go into a shared fund, and votes determine how the fund is distributed at the end... first place receives 40 percent, second receives 35 percent, and third receives 25 percent. The focus is on playing, connecting, and directing real dollars to community organizations. Organizers plan to highlight each charity so participants can learn their stories and choose who they are playing for.

The New Life Food Pantry offers free groceries to the public with a simple drive-up process. Line up in your vehicle and food will be delivered to you, and those without a car may walk up. Service is available only during the pantry’s Tuesday hours. Please bring a photo ID. There is no requirement to live in Rock County and no proof of income is needed, and visitors may return weekly. Offerings change from week to week and can include items like fresh produce, dairy, eggs, milk, bread, meat, canned vegetables, soups, pasta, rice, and other frozen or shelf-stable goods. The pantry operates at New Life Assembly of God Church.
