This weekend in Fond du Lac, WI

Set out with Lori, Amanda’s mother, and Deb for a quilt shop hop that visits five Wisconsin stores filled with fabric finds and creative inspiration. A ride is provided, along with lunch, road snacks, and a bag of quilting treats to take home. The group departs from Quilting Legacies and spends the day browsing, shopping, and sharing ideas with fellow fabric enthusiasts. Space is limited, so register to secure a seat.

Spend a Saturday morning in Downtown Fond du Lac exploring a bustling farmers market with more than 90 vendors. Discover fresh produce grown in Wisconsin, plants and flowers, along with handcrafted baked goods, meats, cheeses, arts, crafts and other local specialties. Pick up breakfast or lunch from vendors offering ready to eat dishes, or settle in for a relaxed meal at a downtown restaurant, then round out the outing by visiting distinctive local businesses nearby. Due to the crowded and sometimes loud setting, pets should stay home, except for service animals.

The Association of Children’s Museums and CMFDL encourage families to take part in Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play with a lively gathering in the museum’s parking lot. Highlights include face painting, a bounce house, prize giveaways, and raffles, along with other playful surprises for children. Kids can get hands-on with big vehicles, including a police car, a fire truck, a Zamboni, and more to explore up close. Outdoor activities are free to everyone. Indoor play and activities are available at no additional cost with regular admission or an active membership.

Marian University women's volleyball hosts a home triangular featuring matchups with Aurora and Carroll. In this three-team format, Marian will face both opponents on its home court.

Play Pokémon at the Pokémon League. Entry is free, games start on demand, and every trainer receives a promo pack for playing.

Settle in for casual Commander play with no entry fee. Pods start as soon as groups are ready, so you can jump into a game on demand. A promo is available for participants while supplies remain.

Tommy Odetto makes his debut at Blue Line Tavern with a performance of blues-driven originals alongside blues rock classics from artists like SRV, The Stones, and Eric Clapton.

Registration is open for the 4th Annual Tom Faris Memorial Golf Outing. Last year’s field filled completely, and high interest is anticipated again, potentially with a waiting list. To avoid conflicts during football season, the organizers coordinated with the Green Bay Packers, who set a bye week so the outing would not be affected. The field is limited to 40 teams, and spots go to the first 40 teams that register and submit payment. The team fee is $440. Early registrants receive bonus raffle tickets. Entry includes golf and a Taco Bar banquet after the round, and every participant receives a door prize. Previous selections have included items like a Scotty Cameron putter and a golf bag. Planned extras include a 50/50 raffle, bucket raffles, on course contests, hole prizes, prize money for teams, skins, and more. There are also opportunities for donations and hole sponsorships.

A local Yu-Gi-Oh! event features a $5 entry fee with one OTS pack included per entry, plus a standard pack awarded for each win. Formats rotate weekly to keep play varied. The first and second Sundays of the month are Advanced, the third Sunday is Edison, and the fourth Sunday is Genesys.

Team up with friends for a free Sunday pub trivia night with DJ Trivia as host. Prizes await the top three teams, and pizza and pretzels are part of the fun.
