The experience features nine scheduled rides, each about 30 minutes, and tickets correspond to a specific departure. The wagon ride is just one part of a broader visit to the Wade House Historic Site, where the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum showcases Wisconsin’s largest collection of historic carriages and wagons. Explore the restored Stagecoach Inn, visit the sawmill and blacksmith shop to learn about period trades, and take advantage of horse-drawn transport between the visitor center and the historic core. All guests check in at the Visitor Center for a required safety briefing before boarding. Rides may be canceled and fully refunded in the event of severe weather. Parking, restrooms, and beverages are available. The Visitor Center is ADA compliant and includes elevator access, and guests with additional mobility needs are encouraged to contact the site. Pricing is as follows: Adults 18–64 and Teens 13–17 at 15, Seniors 65+ at 13, Children 5–12 at 10, and Children under 5 at 3. Society members receive a 10 percent discount.     Homeschool and other non-traditional learners can explore the horse-powered past of Wisconsin at Wade House. Step into a reproduction stagecoach to learn about plank road travel, try hands-on model carriage building in the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, then ride a horse-drawn wagon over the Mullet River to the historic area where costumed interpreters demonstrate blacksmithing and sawing using muscle and water power. The experience includes a tour of the 27-room Stagecoach Hotel that once welcomed travelers along the plank road. Programs take place both outdoors and inside museum buildings, rain or shine, so dressing for the weather is recommended. Plan for a visit that may last up to four hours. Guests may bring their own lunch, with lunch space available upon request. Admission is 6 dollars for students in grades K through 12, 3 dollars for preschoolers, and free for infants and toddlers. Adults ages 18 to 64 are 11 dollars and seniors 65 and older are 11 dollars. Adult chaperones require a ticket at 11 dollars each. Advance registration is required. Society members receive a 10 percent discount with membership verification at checkout.
