Local 4-H and FFA exhibitors present their market animals at an annual show and sale that recognizes months of care and hands-on learning. Attendees can cheer on young people building skills in livestock management, agriculture, responsibility, and leadership while taking part in a community tradition that connects urban and rural neighbors. Businesses and individuals can support youth programs and agricultural education, gain positive exposure through the event and media, and receive a complimentary photo with any animal purchase. Buyers also have the option to take home locally raised meat. Bidding is open to registered participants, and there is no obligation to buy in order to attend or sign up. Animals are sold by the pound using fair or show entry weights, and arrangements for processing and transportation can be made at the sale. This special tournament replaces the usual sealed format with best-of-three matches. Players bring three distinct decks, and no more than two decks may share a single color, for example Blue/Purple, Blue/Red, and Green/White. Entry is $30, and registration is handled through the Bandai TCG+ app.

Each participant receives an OTS pack with entry, and all entry fees are combined into a prize pool that is paid out as store credit based on final records.

High-energy racing and derby action take over Wisconsin Valley Fair with the Dirt Dash as the focal point. The racing slate features the Dirt Dash, FWD and BWD, and Figure 8, with qualifying heats, consolation rounds, and feature races. Derby competition includes UDI Gut N' Go FWD and MWFA or Dirt Dash Style. Every class awards $1,000 to the winner along with a big check, and payouts and awards are presented to the top three. Registration and tech inspection are part of the entry process. The entry fee is $60 and covers all events, and a $50 late fee applies for late registration. Practice sessions and a Powerwheels segment are planned in addition to the main racing program.

Enjoy a free Sunday summer jazz concert in downtown Wausau at Kickbusch Plaza, running from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. It is held directly behind the Marathon County Downtown Library, with parking available in the lot behind the library. Food trucks will be on site for snacks, or you can bring your own picnic, and it is recommended to bring a chair. If the weather turns, the concert moves to Faraway Place (formerly Malarkey’s) at 408 N Third St.

In-studio and online, this three-week Powerflow series offers a blended practice led by Natalie Doering, a Certified 100 Hour Yoga and Pilates teacher. The class weaves traditional yoga with Pilates mat work inspired by the original exercises developed by Joseph Pilates. Close out the season with Next Wave’s end-of-summer mixer at Wausau’s Monk Botanical Gardens. The gathering centers on connection and celebration, bringing together standout interns, emerging professionals, and business leaders from across central Wisconsin. Whether planning ahead for next summer’s internship or seeking opportunities after graduation, interns can meet like-minded peers and build meaningful relationships with established professionals in the region. Pizza will be made on site and nonalcoholic beverages will be available. Presented as Wausau’s largest young professional-focused gathering of the year, this complimentary program is open to Chamber members, and interns employed by a member business are considered members. The traditional Concerts on the Square series from Wausau Events features live music with a variety of food vendors available each week. To keep the space welcoming and the grass healthy, large tables and other furniture are not allowed, and smoking and pets are prohibited. There is also a rule about when blankets may be placed so the lawn is not harmed.
