    Mark Hummel brings his award-winning blues harmonica to Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. (Walker's Point Roastery). This all-ages, general admission show offers a mix of limited seating and standing room, with seats available on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Advance purchases are available online only until a cutoff on the day of the show, then tickets can be purchased at the door. All sales are final and nonrefundable. A Grammy nominee, Blues Music Award winner and author, Hummel produced and performed on Remembering Little Walter, which received a Grammy nomination and won Best Blues CD and Best Traditional Blues CD at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis. His album The Hustle Is Really On reached number two and stayed in the Living Blues Radio Charts top five for four months, and his book BIG ROAD BLUES: 12 Bars on I-80 earned strong reviews along with a nomination for best independent book release. Hummel began playing harmonica in 1970 and is considered one of the premier blues harp players of his generation. Since 1985 he has made more than thirty recordings, including the 2013 Grammy-nominated Blind Pig release Remembering Little Walter, and he launched the Blues Harmonica Blowout in 1991, featuring legends such as Mayall, Musselwhite and Cotton. Known for a distinctive tone, phrasing and swing, he has been on Electro-Fi Records since 2000 with five releases and has built his reputation through extensive touring and major festival appearances across the United States and Europe. Born in New Haven and raised in Los Angeles, he moved to Berkeley at 18 to focus on blues, founded the Blues Survivors in 1977 with Mississippi Johnny Waters, and by 1984 had begun the heavy touring schedule he continues each year across the US, Canada and overseas, performing or recording with Charles Brown, Lowell Fulson, Billy Boy Arnold, Carey Bell, Lazy Lester, Brownie McGhee, Eddie Taylor, Luther Tucker and Jimmy Rogers.
