This support group meeting at Parkersburg YMCA features a presentation by Daryl DeMoss from Abbvie about the Vyalev pump. Vyalev is an FDA approved, 24 hour wearable infusion pump for adults with Parkinson's disease, designed to reduce motor fluctuations, or 'off' time, by continuously delivering medication under the skin. It replaces pills with a steady subcutaneous infusion and is often worn on the belly. Daryl will demonstrate the pump and answer questions.

Rivers, Trails, & Ales Festival is a Saturday beer festival in Marietta, Ohio, featuring a range of breweries and an expanding “ales” side of the event. VIP ticket holders get early access to the beer festival at 3:00 PM, along with a VIP glass and a beery gift, plus light refreshments and drink tokens. General Admission includes a 5.25 oz glass, drink tokens, and entry begins at 4:00 PM.

Join in the Mighty Muskingum River Raft Race for a fun, competitive ride down the river. Crews will check in at noon, then the race starts at 1:00 PM. The event runs from the Muskingum Boat Ramp at Indian Acres Park to the foot of the Start Westward Monument (stairs leading down to the river bank). Prizes are awarded for top finishers, and each raft requires an entry fee of $20. Rafts must be homemade and non-motorized, everyone must wear shoes or sandals, and each crew member must have a Coast Guard approved PFD during the race. Releases of liability waivers are required before entering the water. After the race and awards, rafts and parts must be removed from the premises right away.
