A chartered bus trip to New York City offers a chance to experience Central Park in the fall. Organized by the women of Meadowbrook Church of God, this red-eye ride skips the hotel and provides about 14 to 15 hours in the city for independent exploring. The Saturday Market on Fourth returns to downtown Steubenville with the 100 block of North Fourth Street closed for a family and dog friendly street market. Browse vendors such as Tacos Jorges Mexican Food Truck, Busy Bees Acres with produce, Into the Desert custom wood products, Swicks Wicks candles, Hachis Barkery dog treats, local maple syrup, TJ's Treats, Handcrafted Closet Baby Co., Chinchi's Treats baked goods, braid+bloom, and Homeward Bound of Steubenville, with more to discover. Enjoy a lego build and gaga ball on Fourth Street, along with live music by Michael Manocchia and The Brasset Hounds. Bookmarx hosts a children's storybook hour, and nearby businesses including Steubenville Grocery Box, Leonardo's Coffee, Bookmarx, Spyridon Studios, Yorgos, Steubenville Popcorn, and Chesterton Cigars are open to explore. North Fourth Street will be closed to vehicles for the market and will reopen afterward.

Meadowcroft offers complimentary admission during Washington & Greene Counties’ Annual Covered Bridge Festival, highlighting the historic Pine Bank Covered Bridge. Built in 1871, the bridge once spanned Tom’s Run in the village of Pine Bank in Greene County. When demolition loomed in 1961, Meadowcroft founder Albert Miller preserved the structure by moving it nearly 70 miles to its current location. Now a restored pedestrian bridge with a significant rehabilitation completed in 2017, it showcases 19th century workmanship at a time when fewer than 700 of the more than 10,000 covered bridges that once existed in the United States remain. Festival visitors can walk the bridge and explore Meadowcroft’s historic villages at no cost, with optional Rockshelter tours available for $5 per person. The bridge is open to pedestrians only, and vehicles are not permitted.
