In the Fairy House Competition, participants may enter more than one creation, and entries must be made by the entrant or their family. Use natural, recycled, or handcrafted elements to design cottages, mushroom homes, castles, gardens, tree stumps, or even miniature villages. Check in to register and receive an entry number, judging happens during the event, and prizes are awarded on site. The top three entries receive a ticket to the Front Range Fantasy Festival’s Fantasy Market valued at $10. Selected fairy houses may be invited for display at the festival, and creators are responsible for delivering and setting up their own pieces. Event staff do not transport entries between venues. Fantasy themes are welcome but not required. The Fantasy Cook-Off and Bake-Off showcase beloved recipes from bread and casseroles to cookies and decorated cakes. Participants may enter multiple categories and can compete in both the cook-off and the bake-off. Cook-Off categories include charcuterie inspired by the Shire, main dishes, side dishes, family recipes, and fantastical creations. Bake-Off categories include cakes, cookies, pastries, breads, pies, and tarts. Entries compete only within their category, check-in is required for registration, judging takes place during the event, and prizes are presented on site. The top three in each category receive a Fantasy Market ticket valued at $10. Entrants handle their own food safety and bring any utensils, warming trays, or ice needed for display. Pack a picnic dinner if you like, or simply relax and enjoy the festivities.
