Riders race bareback around the track and switch horses between laps at full speed, creating an intense spectacle unique in horse racing. Each team competes with three horses and a single rider, supported by a crew of holders and catchers who execute rapid exchanges. The discipline demands elite riding skill, courage, teamwork, and precise timing. More than 100 teams representing 15 tribal nations come together, drawing thousands of spectators each year to experience fierce competition, deep cultural pride, and living traditions that make Indian Relay one of the most thrilling spectator sports in North America.

Rooted Wellness Collective and 1st Phorm are hosting this free meet-up, and no specific fitness level is required. Attending solo is common for first-timers, and everyone is welcome. For parking, use the west side of Central High School near the track and field.
