Open Swim at Goldfish Swim School – Madison welcomes the whole community, not only enrolled families. Admission is 5 dollars per swimmer with a 15 dollar family cap, and members swim free. Reservations are made through Eventbrite, payment is collected in person upon arrival, and ticket purchases are not processed on Eventbrite. Bring a bracket 3 Commander deck for games, with female commanders encouraged for the theme but not required. A casual One Piece locals playdate at Current: Nerd Café focuses on fun and learning. Participants receive a promo pack upon entry, and winners receive a winner card. At Current: Nerd Café, the Pokémon League hosts a free play session where participants can jump into as many Pokémon Trading Card Game battles as they wish. Points are awarded for attending, taking part in matches, earning a win, and challenging a rival not yet faced during the current league month, while teaching a new player is worth two. A leaderboard is posted each week and resets at the start of every month. The top three at month’s end receive Pokémon store credit, with awards of $30 for first place, $20 for second, and $10 for third. New players are welcome to learn on the spot, borrow a deck, or get help building one. Alongside league play, Wynaut Wednesday features 15 percent off sealed Pokémon products, with an additional 5 percent discount for league participants.
