AUGUST PLAY DATE - Fifty Shades of Blue

Head to Kokopelli Golf Club for a summer play date themed Fifty Shades of Blue. To stay ahead of the Arizona heat, this edition features early tee times and is planned as a full 18 holes with a cart. The Golf Party Live atmosphere is relaxed and beginner friendly, and anyone who prefers a shorter day can wrap up after nine holes. During Arizona summers, morning tee times tend to be in high demand, so pricing between nine and eighteen holes is similar. The $80 entry covers 18 holes, a golf cart, organized GPL pairings, on-course contest holes, and a friendly GPL vibe. After the round, an optional 19th hole offers food and drinks for those who want to hang out. The theme calls for your favorite blue golf outfit. This event is co-ed. The admission or green fee is nonrefundable, and a replacement player may attend in your place if you cannot make it.

B License Course with Axis Flight School

The AXIS B-License Weekend centers on essential canopy skills for advancing skydivers and is built to raise confidence and enjoyment in flight through an immersive small-group format. Training takes place in a controlled setting that reduces stress and supports strong retention and performance. Across two days, coaching covers the canopy proficiency and live water landing elements of USPA B-License requirements D, E, and F. The written B-License exam is part of those requirements and can be administered right after the course or scheduled for a later time. The canopy proficiency curriculum deepens understanding of your parachute and emphasizes advanced control, active flying, and situational awareness. Expect classroom learning and in-air practice that includes precision slow flight, stall prevention and recovery, effective use of toggles and risers, personalized analysis of every landing, and one-on-one guidance between jumps. A 90-minute live water landing session fulfills the USPA component and prepares you for destinations and events where water landings may be encountered. Because water work is included, participants must be proficient swimmers, and a canopy and harness are provided for the pool portion. Lift tickets and packing are not included in the course price. Enrollment is limited to ten participants, and a non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot; that deposit is applied to the total and the remaining balance is collected at check-in on the first morning. If a cancellation becomes necessary, the deposit may be moved to a future AXIS B-License Weekend with different dates, but cancellations within 72 hours of the start result in forfeiture. Seated Golfers Championship

The United States Seated Golfers Association will present a three-day national championship at Whirlwind Golf Club, bringing together seated golfers from across the United States to compete in a premier event designed for athletes who use wheelchairs and rely on adaptive mobility devices. Organizers anticipate a field of approximately 20 to 30 players, with final numbers depending on the availability of adaptive golf carts, and coordinating these specialized mobility devices remains a central focus of planning. USSGA President Larry Celano notes that the championship advances competitive opportunities for seated golfers while aiming to deliver a first-class national experience, with continued efforts to address equipment access needs. Details on registration, eligibility, tournament format, and sponsorship will be announced in the coming months as the USSGA works with courses, adaptive equipment providers, and supporters to ensure a successful and sustainable event.
